2. Setup and Assembly

Proper setup ensures optimal performance and safety of your GIGBAR 2 system. Follow these steps for quick and efficient assembly.

2.1 Unpacking and Inspection

  • Carefully remove all components from the included carry bags.
  • Inspect all parts for any signs of damage during transit. If any damage is found, contact your retailer immediately.
  • Verify that all components are present: GIGBAR 2 light bar, tripod stand, wireless footswitch, IRC remote, power cord, and carry bags.

2.2 Tripod Stand Assembly

  1. Extend the legs of the tripod stand to a stable position. The tripod has a leg width of 3.9 feet.
  2. Adjust the height of the stand. The tripod minimum height is 4.8 feet, and the maximum height is 8.3 feet. Secure the height adjustment knob firmly.

2.3 Mounting the Light Bar

  1. Carefully lift the GIGBAR 2 light bar and place it onto the top of the tripod stand.
  2. Secure the light bar to the stand using the provided mounting hardware. Ensure it is stable and level.
  3. Alternatively, use the included mounting brackets to attach the GIGBAR 2 to a truss system.

2.4 Connecting Power

  • Connect the supplied power cord to the GIGBAR 2 and then to a suitable power outlet. The unit supports 100 to 240 VAC, 50 or 60 Hz auto-ranging input voltage.
  • For power linking multiple units, connect the power output of one GIGBAR 2 to the power input of another. Up to 8 units can be power linked at 120V, and 15 units at 230V.

2.5 Wireless Footswitch Setup

  • Place the wireless footswitch in a convenient location for operation.
  • Ensure the footswitch is powered on (if applicable) and paired with the GIGBAR 2 according to the instructions in the footswitch's dedicated manual.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Control Panel and Display

  • Navigate through menus and settings using the LCD display and control buttons on the GIGBAR 2 unit.

3.2 Lighting Modes

  • Automated Programs: The GIGBAR 2 features built-in automated programs that combine all four effects (Derby, pars, laser, strobe) for a complete light show without external control.
  • Sound-Activated Mode: In this mode, the lights react to the beat of the music detected by the unit's internal microphone.

3.4 Master/Slave Operation

To synchronize multiple GIGBAR 2 units without a DMX controller, connect them in a master/slave configuration. One unit acts as the master, controlling the others (slaves). This can be done via DMX cables or wirelessly if supported by the IRC/footswitch.
