4. Setup

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Weighing

  1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the scale. The display will show '0.0' or '0.00' after a brief self-test.
  2. Ensure the display reads zero before placing an item on the weighing pan. If not, press the RE-ZERO button.
  3. Gently place the item to be weighed on the center of the weighing pan.
  4. Wait for the STABLE indicator to light up. Read the weight displayed.
  5. Remove the item from the pan.

5.2 Changing Weighing Units

To switch between available weighing units (grams, pounds, ounces):

  • With the scale on, press the UNITS button.
  • Each press will cycle through the available units (e.g., g → lb → oz → g).
  • Select the desired unit for your measurement.

5.3 Tare Function (RE-ZERO)

The tare function allows you to weigh items in a container by subtracting the container's weight:

  1. Place the empty container on the weighing pan.
  2. Wait for the weight reading to stabilize.
  3. Press the RE-ZERO button. The display will return to zero, and the ZERO indicator will light up.
  4. Place the item to be weighed into the container. The display will show the net weight of the item.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Regularly clean the weighing pan and the scale body.
  • Use a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild, non-abrasive detergent.
  • For washdown, ensure all covers are properly sealed. Do not use high-pressure water jets directly on the display or buttons.
  • Dry the scale thoroughly after cleaning.

6.2 Storage

  • When not in use for extended periods, store the scale in a dry, cool place.
  • If using batteries, remove them before long-term storage to prevent leakage.

6.3 Calibration
