4.3 Blade Installation and Tensioning

- Open the blade guard.
- Carefully place the band saw blade onto the wheels, ensuring the teeth are pointing in the correct direction.
- Adjust the blade tensioning mechanism until the blade is taut and centered on the wheels. Refer to the tension indicator if available.
- Close the blade guard securely.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 General Operation
- Connect the power cord to a suitable AC 100V (50-60Hz) power outlet.
- Select the appropriate speed using the speed adjustment dial (61-230 RPM) based on the material being cut.
- Activate the LED light for better visibility of the cutting line.
- Position the workpiece securely. For stationary use, utilize the workpiece clamp.
- Start the saw and allow the blade to reach full speed before beginning the cut.
- Apply steady, even pressure to guide the saw through the material. Do not force the tool.
- After the cut is complete, release the trigger and allow the blade to stop before removing the tool from the workpiece.
5.2 Handheld Operation
The Bosch GCB120B can also be used as a handheld tool for flush cutting or other applications where the base is not required.
- Ensure the base is detached if you intend to use it handheld.
- Hold the tool firmly with both hands, maintaining a balanced stance.
- For flush cutting, position the tool using the dedicated flush cutting position feature.
