4. Setup and First Use
4.1 Unpacking
- Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
- Place the coffee maker on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface.
- Ensure adequate space around the machine for ventilation.
4.2 Initial Cleaning
- Wash the water tank, portafilter, and filter baskets with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Making Espresso

- Remove Portafilter: Carefully remove the portafilter by twisting it to the left. Discard the used coffee grounds.
5.2 Using the Cappuccino System (Steam Wand)
The steam wand is used to froth milk for cappuccinos and lattes.
- Prepare Milk: Fill a pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to about one-third full.
- Activate Steam: Turn the function knob to the steam position (steam icon). Wait for the steam indicator light to illuminate steadily.
- Purge Steam Wand: Briefly open the steam knob to release any condensed water. Close the knob.
- Froth Milk: Immerse the steam wand tip just below the surface of the milk. Open the steam knob. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam.
- Stop Steaming: Once the desired texture and temperature are reached, close the steam knob and remove the pitcher.
- Clean Steam Wand: Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove milk residue. Briefly open the steam knob again to clear any milk from inside the wand.
