Important Safeguards

• Do not cover crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil. This will cause overheating of the oven.

Setup and First Use

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster oven and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
2. Placement: Place the toaster oven on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance (at least 4 inches of space on all sides). Do not place it directly under cabinets or near flammable materials.
3. Cleaning: Before first use, wipe down the interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Wash the baking pan and broiler rack in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely.
4. Initial Burn-Off: It is normal for a new toaster oven to emit a slight odor or smoke during its first use. This is due to the burning off of manufacturing residues. To minimize this, operate the oven empty at its highest temperature setting (e.g., 450°F) for approximately 10-15 minutes in a well-ventilated area.
5. Power Connection: Ensure the toaster oven is unplugged before placing food or accessories inside. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Controls:

• Temperature Control Knob: Located on the right side, this knob allows you to select the desired cooking temperature from 150°F to 450°F, or specific settings for Toast, Bake, Broil, and Warm.
• Timer Knob: Located below the temperature knob, this knob sets the cooking time up to 15 minutes. It also has a "Stay On" setting for continuous operation.

Cooking Functions:

Toasting:

1. Place items directly on the wire rack or in the baking pan if preferred.
2. Close the glass door.
3. Turn the Temperature Control Knob to the "Toast" setting.
4. Turn the Timer Knob clockwise past the 10-minute mark, then back to the desired toast shade (light to dark). The oven will automatically turn off when the timer expires.

Baking:

1. Place food in the baking pan.
2. Insert the baking pan into the oven.
3. Close the glass door.
4. Turn the Temperature Control Knob to the desired baking temperature (e.g., 350°F).
5. Turn the Timer Knob to the desired baking time. For longer baking times, turn to "Stay On" and monitor food manually.
6. The oven will turn off when the timer expires. If using "Stay On", manually turn the Timer Knob to "Off" when cooking is complete.

Broiling:

1. Place food on the broiler rack, then place the broiler rack into the baking pan to catch drippings.
2. Insert the baking pan with broiler rack into the oven.
3. Close the glass door.
4. Turn the Temperature Control Knob to the "Broil" setting.
5. Turn the Timer Knob to the desired broiling time. Broiling often requires shorter times and close monitoring to prevent burning.
6. The oven will turn off when the timer expires.

Defrosting:

1. Place frozen food in the baking pan.
2. Insert the baking pan into the oven.
3. Close the glass door.
4. Turn the Temperature Control Knob to a low temperature setting (e.g., 150°F - 200°F) or the "Warm" setting.
5. Turn the Timer Knob to the desired defrosting time, monitoring the food closely.
6. The oven will turn off when the timer expires.

Note: Always use oven mitts when handling hot items or accessories from the oven.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning will help maintain the performance and appearance of your toaster oven.

1. Before Cleaning: Always unplug the toaster oven from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Crumb Tray: The crumb tray is located at the bottom of the oven. Pull it out to remove crumbs. Wash the crumb tray in warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly. Reinsert the crumb tray before next use.
3. Interior: Wipe the interior walls with a damp cloth and mild liquid soap solution. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use steel wool pads or abrasive cleaners on the interior as they may damage the non-stick coating.
4. Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
5. Accessories: The baking pan and broiler rack can be washed in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. These are not dishwasher safe.
6. Glass Door: Clean the glass door with a glass cleaner or a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
7. Storage: When not in use, ensure the toaster oven is clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place.
