4. Setup and Assembly

4.2. Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crossbar: Place the crossbar on a soft, flat surface. Attach the plastic cable management clips to the designated holes on the crossbar.
  2. Attach the Legs: Secure the two desk legs to the crossbar using the provided screws and Allen wrench. Ensure they are firmly attached.
  3. Install the Feet: Attach the two feet to the bottom of each desk leg using the provided screws. Tighten securely.
  4. Mount the Control Box: Attach the control box to the underside of the crossbar using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  5. Connect Motor Cables: Connect the motor cables from each leg to the corresponding ports on the control box. Ensure a snug fit.
  6. Connect Handset: Connect the handset/control panel cable to the control box.
  7. Attach Handset to Tabletop: Once your tabletop is ready, attach the handset to the desired location on the underside of the tabletop using the provided screws.
  8. Cable Management: Use the provided cable management clips and ties to neatly route and secure all cables, preventing them from hanging loosely.
  9. Attach Tabletop: Carefully place your chosen tabletop onto the assembled frame. Secure the tabletop to the mounting brackets on the frame using appropriate screws (tabletop not included).

5. Operating Instructions

The ErgoMax Electric Desk Frame features an intuitive control panel for easy height adjustment and memory settings.

5.1. Control Panel Overview

  • Up/Down Arrows (▲/▼): Press and hold to adjust the desk height. Release to stop at the desired height.
  • Memory Presets (1, 2, 3, 4): Store and recall your preferred sitting and standing heights.
  • Memory Button (M): Used to save height settings.
  • Timer (T): Set a reminder to switch between sitting and standing.

5.2. Adjusting Height

Simply press and hold the Up (▲) or Down (▼) arrow button on the control panel until the desk reaches your desired height. The digital display will show the current height.

5.3. Setting Memory Presets

To save a specific height:

  1. Adjust the desk to your desired height using the Up/Down arrows.
  2. Press the Memory (M) button. The display will show "S-".
  3. Within 5 seconds, press one of the number buttons (1, 2, 3, or 4) to save the current height to that preset. The display will confirm with "S-1", "S-2", etc.

To recall a saved height, simply press the corresponding number button (1, 2, 3, or 4). The desk will automatically move to the saved position.

5.4. Anti-Collision Feature

The desk is equipped with an anti-collision system. If the desk encounters an obstruction during height adjustment, it will automatically stop and reverse slightly to prevent damage. Remove any obstructions before resuming adjustment.

5.5. Power Saving Mode

The control panel will enter power-saving mode after a period of inactivity, indicated by three dashes on the display. To reactivate, long press the Memory (M) button.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the desk frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
