Introduction
The Leica Pinmaster II Pro is a high-precision laser rangefinder designed for golf, providing accurate distance measurements to targets on the course. It incorporates advanced features such as Angle Compensated Distance (ACD) and improved First-Target Logic to enhance your game. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your device.
Setup
Battery Installation
The Leica Pinmaster II Pro requires one CR2 battery (included). To install, locate the battery compartment cover, typically on the side or bottom of the device. Unscrew or open the cover, insert the battery with the correct polarity (+/-), then securely close the compartment.

Eyecup Adjustment
Adjust the eyecup for comfortable viewing and to eliminate stray light. Rotate or extend the eyecup until the entire field of view is visible without vignetting.
Diopter Adjustment
If the display or target appears blurry, use the diopter adjustment ring, usually located near the eyecup, to bring the image into sharp focus for your vision.

Operating Instructions
Power On and Measurement
Press the main operating button (typically located on the top of the device) once to activate the rangefinder. Aim the reticle at your desired target. Press the button again to initiate a measurement. The distance will be displayed in the viewfinder's LED readout.

Switching Units (Yards/Meters)
To switch between yards and meters, press and hold the operating button for a few seconds until the unit changes in the display. Release the button once the desired unit is shown.
Angle Compensated Distance (ACD)
The ACD function automatically calculates the slope-adjusted distance, taking into account both terrain inclination and the golf ball's trajectory. This corrected distance is displayed alongside the direct distance, providing a more accurate playing distance for uphill and downhill shots.
First-Target Logic
When measuring targets in a group (e.g., a flagstick in front of trees), the improved First-Target Logic prioritizes the closest object. The device provides a subtle signal or indicator when it has successfully identified the first target, helping to ensure you measure to the flagstick and not objects behind it.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the lenses and the device body. For stubborn dirt, a slightly dampened cloth with water or a specialized lens cleaning solution can be used. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the optics or casing.
Storage
Store the rangefinder in its protective Cordura case when not in use. Keep it in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods to prevent potential leakage.
Troubleshooting
No Display or Device Not Turning On
- Check battery charge and ensure it is inserted correctly with the correct polarity.
- Replace the battery with a fresh CR2 battery if necessary.
Inaccurate Readings
- Ensure the lens is clean and free from obstructions.
- Make sure you are aiming at a reflective target. Non-reflective surfaces may yield inconsistent results.
- Avoid measuring through glass or other transparent surfaces, as this can interfere with laser accuracy.
- If using First-Target Logic, confirm the correct target is identified by the device's indicator.
Fogging
- If lenses fog up due to rapid temperature changes, allow the device to acclimate to the ambient temperature.
- Do not attempt to wipe fog from the inside of the lenses.
