Operating Instructions

Power Adjusted Glass (Main Mirror):

Use your vehicle's existing mirror control switch to adjust the main mirror glass. This allows for precise positioning of the mirror's reflective surface.

Heated Function:

The heated mirror function activates automatically with your vehicle's rear defrost system. Ensure your vehicle's defrost is engaged to clear frost, ice, or fog from the mirror surface.

Manual Folding:

To fold the mirrors, gently push the mirror assembly towards the vehicle body until it locks into the folded position. This is useful for parking in narrow spaces or preventing damage.

Manual Telescoping:

To extend the mirrors for towing, grasp the mirror housing and pull it outwards from the vehicle. The mirror will extend, providing an increased field of view. Push it back in when not needed.

Convex Lens Adjustment:

The lower convex mirror is manually adjustable. Gently push on the mirror glass itself to position it for optimal blind spot coverage.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the mirror glass and housing regularly with a mild automotive cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the mirrors for any signs of damage, loose connections, or wear. Ensure the folding and telescoping mechanisms operate smoothly.
  • Winter Care: In cold climates, ensure the heated function is working to prevent ice buildup. Avoid forcing the mirrors to fold or telescope if they are frozen.

Troubleshooting

  • Mirror Not Adjusting:
    • Check electrical connections to ensure they are secure.
    • Verify that your vehicle's mirror adjustment fuse is intact.
    • Confirm compatibility; mirrors without power adjustment will not respond to the vehicle's controls.
  • Heated Function Not Working:
    • Ensure your vehicle's rear defrost system is active.
    • Check the fuse for the heated mirror circuit.
    • Confirm compatibility; mirrors without heating elements will not have this function.
  • Excessive Vibration:
    • Ensure all mounting bolts are securely tightened.
    • Check for any loose components within the mirror housing.
  • Difficulty Folding/Telescoping:
    • Ensure there is no debris or obstruction in the mechanism.
    • Apply a silicone-based lubricant to moving parts if necessary, avoiding contact with electrical components.
