  • The HEPA filter ensures high-efficiency particulate air filtration, capturing fine dust and allergens.
  • This vacuum is designed for indoor use only.
  • Avoid vacuuming liquids, sharp objects, or hot ashes, as this can damage the vacuum and pose a safety risk.
  • Regularly check the dust bag and replace it when full to maintain optimal suction performance.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Nilfisk GD10 Back HEPA Vacuum.

5.1 General Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the vacuum unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Periodically check the hose and attachments for blockages or damage. Clear any obstructions immediately.

5.2 Dust Bag Replacement

The vacuum has a 1-4/5 gallon dust bag capacity. Replace the dust bag when it is full or when suction power noticeably decreases.

  1. Ensure the vacuum is turned OFF and unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Open the vacuum unit housing to access the dust bag compartment.
  3. Carefully remove the full dust bag, ensuring the opening is sealed to prevent dust from escaping. Dispose of the bag according to local waste disposal regulations.
  4. Insert a new Nilfisk-approved dust bag, ensuring it is properly seated and sealed within the compartment.
  5. Close the vacuum unit housing securely.

5.3 HEPA Filter Maintenance

The HEPA filter is designed for high-efficiency filtration. While it is not typically washable, inspect it regularly for excessive dirt or damage. Replace the HEPA filter as recommended by Nilfisk or if you notice a decrease in performance or an increase in dust escaping the exhaust.

Note: Always use genuine Nilfisk replacement parts for optimal performance and to maintain warranty validity.
