Welcome to the user manual for your Baby Trend Nursery Center® Playard in Tanzania. This manual provides essential information for the safe and proper assembly, operation, and maintenance of your playard. Please read all instructions carefully before use and keep this manual for future reference.
The Baby Trend Nursery Center Playard is designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for your child. It features a removable full bassinet, a mobile with three plush toys, and a convenient diaper stacker. Its lightweight and portable design, along with a one-hand locking mechanism and wheels with brakes, make it easy to set up, move, and store.
Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow these warnings and instructions could result in serious injury or death.
- Always ensure all locking mechanisms are securely engaged before placing a child in the playard.
- Never leave a child unattended in the playard.
- The playard is intended for children under 35 inches tall and weighing less than 30 lbs.
- Do not use the bassinet feature for children who can push up on their hands and knees, or who weigh more than 15 lbs.
- To prevent suffocation, do not add extra padding, pillows, comforters, or mattresses inside the playard. Use only the pad provided by the manufacturer.
- Keep the playard away from open flames, heaters, or other heat sources.
- Discontinue use if any part of the playard is broken, torn, or missing.
- Strings can cause strangulation! Do not place items with a string around a child's neck, such as hood strings or pacifier cords. Do not suspend strings over a playard or attach strings to toys.
Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to properly set up your Baby Trend Nursery Center Playard.
Unfolding the Playard
- Remove the playard from the travel tote bag.
- Stand the playard upright.
- Pull the two short side rails upwards until they lock into place. Ensure they are fully rigid.
- Pull the two long side rails upwards until they lock into place. Ensure they are fully rigid.
- Push down the center of the playard floor until it lies flat and locks into position.

Installing the Full-Size Bassinet
The removable full-size bassinet provides a comfortable sleeping area for infants.
- Ensure the playard is fully assembled and locked.
- Place the bassinet frame onto the top rails of the playard, ensuring all clips securely attach.
- Lay the bassinet mattress pad flat inside the bassinet.

Attaching the Mobile and Diaper Stacker
Enhance your playard with the included mobile and diaper stacker.
- Attach the mobile arm to the designated slot on the playard rail. Hang the three plush toys from the mobile.
- Hook the diaper stacker onto the side rail of the playard for convenient storage of essentials.

Operating the Playard
Using the Playard as a Safe Play Area
Once assembled, the playard provides a secure space for your child to play or rest. Ensure the mattress pad is placed firmly at the bottom of the playard.

Mobility and Portability
The playard is equipped with two large wheels with brakes for easy movement and stability. To move the playard, engage the brakes on the wheels, lift the opposite end slightly, and roll. To secure, press down on the brake levers.
Folding the Playard for Storage or Travel
The one-hand locking mechanism allows for easy folding.
- Remove the bassinet, mobile, and diaper stacker.
- Pull the strap in the center of the playard floor upwards to release the floor lock.
- Disengage the locks on the side rails by pressing the buttons on the outside of the rails while lifting slightly.
- Bring all four corners together, folding the playard compactly.
- Wrap the mattress pad around the folded playard and secure it with the attached straps.
- Place the folded playard into the travel tote bag.

Maintenance and Care
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your playard.
- Cleaning: The fabric can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use harsh abrasives or bleach. Allow to air dry completely before folding or storing.
- Frame: Wipe the metal and plastic parts with a soft, damp cloth.
- Storage: Store the playard in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Always store in the provided travel tote bag.
- Inspection: Regularly check all parts for wear, tear, or damage. Ensure all fasteners are tight and secure.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

| Playard will not lock into place. | Side rails are not fully extended or the center floor is pushed down first. | Ensure all four side rails are pulled up and locked into place before pushing down the center floor. If a side rail does not lock, lift it slightly and try again. |
| Playard will not fold. | Center floor is still locked or side rails are not disengaged. | Pull the strap in the center of the floor upwards to release the floor lock. Then, disengage the side rail locks by pressing the buttons on the outside of the rails while lifting slightly. |
| Bassinet feels unstable. | Bassinet clips are not fully secured to the playard rails. | Ensure all bassinet clips are firmly attached to the top rails of the playard. Verify the playard itself is fully locked and stable. |
