Setup

Charging the Device

The VIPERTEK VTS-880 features an internal rechargeable battery. To charge the device:

1. Ensure the safety switch is in the 'OFF' position.
2. Locate the integrated charging prongs at the bottom of the device. Slide the cover to expose the prongs.
3. Plug the device directly into a standard wall outlet (110V).
4. The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging.
5. Allow approximately 6-8 hours for a full charge. Do not overcharge.

Operating Instructions

Safety Switch

The device has a 3-position safety switch on its side:

• OFF (Bottom Position): The device is completely off. Neither the flashlight nor the stun function will operate.
• MIDDLE Position: Activates the LED flashlight.
• ON (Top Position): Arms the stun function. The red indicator light will turn on.

Using the LED Flashlight

To activate the LED flashlight, slide the safety switch to the middle position. Slide it back to the 'OFF' position to turn off the flashlight.

Using the Stun Function

WARNING: Test the stun function in a safe environment before relying on it for self-defense. The loud crackling sound alone can be a deterrent.

1. Slide the safety switch to the 'ON' (top) position. A red indicator light will illuminate.
2. Press and hold the round stun activation button (usually marked with a lightning bolt symbol) to discharge the stun gun.
3. To cease discharge, release the stun activation button.
4. After use, immediately slide the safety switch back to the 'OFF' position.

Maintenance

• Keep the device clean and dry. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth if necessary.
• Avoid dropping the device or subjecting it to harsh impacts.
• For optimal battery life, recharge the device every 2-3 months, even if not used regularly.
• Store in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

• Device not activating: Ensure the battery is charged and the safety switch is in the correct position for the desired function (middle for flashlight, top for stun).
• Flashlight dim: Recharge the battery.
• Stun function weak or non-responsive: Recharge the battery. If the issue persists after charging, contact customer support.
