4. Setup and Installation

The Flux Phenom Magnetic Screen Door is designed for quick and tool-free setup. Follow these steps for optimal installation:

1. Measure Your Door Frame: Before installation, ensure your door frame measures up to 38 inches in width and 82 inches in height. Accurate measurement is crucial for proper fit and function.

2. Clean the Door Frame: Thoroughly clean the door frame surface where the adhesive hook & loop tape will be applied. Ensure it is free of dust, dirt, and moisture for maximum adhesion.
3. Attach Hook & Loop Tape: Peel the backing from the adhesive hook & loop tape and firmly press it along the top and sides of your door frame. Start from the top center and work your way down each side.

4. Hang the Screen Door: Align the top center of the screen door with the center of the hook & loop tape on your door frame. Press the screen door firmly onto the tape, working your way down both sides. Ensure the screen hangs straight and the magnetic strips align properly in the center.
5. Secure with Thumb Tacks (Optional): For added security, especially on wooden door frames, use the provided thumb tacks to reinforce the hook & loop tape along the top and sides.

5. Operation

The Flux Phenom Magnetic Screen Door is designed for hands-free entry and exit:

• Walking Through: Simply walk through the center of the screen door. The 52 powerful magnets will automatically separate as you pass and then snap back together, creating a seamless, no-gap seal behind you.

• Pet and Child Friendly: The hands-free design allows pets and children to easily pass through the screen door without assistance, and it will close automatically behind them.
• Stay Open Feature: If you need to keep the screen door open for extended periods, such as when moving large items, you can use the integrated tie-backs to hold the two mesh panels to the sides.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: To clean the mesh, gently wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the material.
• Storage: For seasonal removal, carefully detach the screen door from the hook & loop tape. Fold it neatly and store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight to preserve its material and magnetic integrity. The included 2 full hook & loop sets allow for easy reinstallation next year.
• Inspection: Periodically check the magnetic strips for proper alignment and ensure they are free of debris that could hinder closure. Inspect the mesh for any tears or fraying. The upgraded 1mm micro mesh is designed to be tear-resistant.
