Setup

Unpacking

Carefully remove the Impactool from its packaging. Inspect the tool for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. Retain all packaging materials for future storage or transport.

Connecting to Air Supply

The 35MAX Impactool operates on compressed air. Ensure your air compressor and air lines meet the following requirements:

  • Air Pressure: Maintain an operating air pressure of 90 psi (6.2 bar) at the tool inlet while the tool is running.
  • Hose Size: Use a minimum 3/8 inch (10 mm) inner diameter air hose for optimal performance.
  • Air Inlet: The tool features a 1/4 inch NPT air inlet. Apply thread sealant to the air fitting before connecting it to the tool.
  • Lubrication: Install an in-line air lubricator as close to the tool as possible, or manually add a few drops of air tool oil into the air inlet before each use.

Operating Instructions

General Operation

Power Regulator

The 35MAX features a 3-position power regulator dial. This dial allows you to adjust the torque output for different applications. Rotate the dial to select the desired power setting. Always start with a lower setting and increase as needed to prevent overtightening or damage to fasteners.

Socket Installation

To install a socket, align the square drive of the socket with the 1/2 inch square drive anvil on the tool. Push the socket firmly onto the anvil until it locks into place. Ensure the socket is securely attached before operating the tool.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Impactool.

Lubrication

Pneumatic tools require daily lubrication. Add 5-10 drops of high-quality air tool oil into the air inlet before each use, or ensure your in-line lubricator is functioning correctly and filled with oil. This lubricates the internal motor components.

Cleaning

Keep the exterior of the tool clean and free from debris. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the housing. Do not use harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners.

Storage

Store the Impactool in a dry, clean environment when not in use. Disconnect it from the air supply. If storing for an extended period, add a few drops of air tool oil into the air inlet and run the tool briefly to distribute the oil, then store it in a protective case.

Troubleshooting

Refer to the table below for common issues and their potential solutions.
