Setup

  1. Attach the Neck Strap: Securely attach the provided neck strap to the strap lugs on the binoculars. Ensure both ends are firmly fastened to prevent accidental drops.
  2. Adjust Eyecups:
    • For users without eyeglasses, twist the eyecups counter-clockwise until they are fully extended.
    • For users with eyeglasses, leave the eyecups in the down position.
  3. Adjust Interpupillary Distance (IPD): Hold the binoculars with both hands and look through them. Bend the binoculars at the hinge until you see a single, clear circular field of view. This adjusts the distance between the eyepieces to match the distance between your eyes.
  4. Diopter Adjustment:
    • Close your right eye and look through the left eyepiece. Rotate the central focus wheel until the image is sharp and clear.
    • Close your left eye and look through the right eyepiece (which has the diopter ring). Rotate the diopter ring until the image is sharp and clear.
    • Now, with both eyes open, the image should be in focus. Future focusing will primarily use the central focus wheel.

Operating Instructions

  1. Holding the Binoculars: Hold the binoculars steady with both hands. For extended viewing, brace your elbows against your body or use a tripod adapter (not included) for added stability.
  2. Focusing: Once the diopter is set (as described in Setup), use the central focus wheel to bring objects at various distances into sharp focus.
  3. Viewing: Point the binoculars towards the object you wish to observe. Adjust the focus as needed.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning Lenses:

Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Gently wipe the lens surfaces. For stubborn smudges, use a small amount of lens cleaning fluid applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens. Avoid using abrasive cloths or paper towels, which can scratch the lens coatings.

  • Cleaning Body:

Wipe the body of the binoculars with a soft, clean cloth. For dirt or grime, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.

  • Storage:

When not in use, store the binoculars in their protective carrying case in a cool, dry place. Keep lens caps on to protect the lenses from dust and scratches. Avoid storing in direct sunlight or areas with high humidity.
