4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials, including the foam base and adhesive tape holding accessories. Keep packaging materials until you are sure the appliance is working correctly. Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.

4.2 Placement

Place the refrigerator on a flat, stable surface strong enough to support the unit when fully loaded. Allow at least 5 inches of space between the back and sides of the refrigerator and any adjacent walls or furniture to ensure proper air circulation.

4.3 Leveling

Adjust the leveling legs at the bottom of the refrigerator to ensure it is perfectly level. This is crucial for proper operation and door alignment.

4.4 Door Reversal (Optional)

Arrange food items to allow for proper air circulation. Do not overload the shelves. Use the crisper drawer for fruits and vegetables to maintain freshness. The door shelves are suitable for beverages and smaller items.

5.3 Freezer Compartment

The small freezer compartment is suitable for making ice and storing small frozen items. Avoid placing hot foods directly into the freezer. Use the included ice cube tray for convenience.

6.1 Defrosting

This refrigerator features manual defrost. Frost will accumulate on the freezer compartment walls. When the frost layer becomes about 1/4 inch thick, it is time to defrost. To defrost:

1. Unplug the refrigerator from the power outlet.
2. Remove all food items from the freezer and refrigerator compartments. Store frozen items in another freezer or cooler.
3. Leave the door open to allow frost to melt naturally. You can place towels at the bottom to absorb water. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to remove frost.
4. Once all frost has melted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly.
5. Plug the refrigerator back in and return food items once the temperature has stabilized.
