Controls and Ports

Familiarize yourself with the speaker's buttons and connection ports:

  • Top Panel Buttons: Mode (M), Play/Pause/Call Answer, Previous Track/Volume Down, Next Track/Volume Up, Power.
  • Rear Panel Ports: TF/MicroSD Card Slot, USB Port, AUX Input, DC 5V Charging Port, ON/OFF Switch.

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Speaker

  1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the DC 5V port on the rear of the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The LED indicator will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.
  4. A full charge provides up to 8 hours of playtime at 50% volume, thanks to the built-in 2200mAh Li-ion battery.

3.2 Power On/Off

Locate the ON/OFF switch on the rear panel of the speaker. Slide it to the 'ON' position to power on the device, and to 'OFF' to power it off.

4. Operating Modes

Press the 'M' (Mode) button on the top panel to cycle through the available modes: Bluetooth, FM Radio, TF Card, USB, and AUX Input.

4.1 Bluetooth Mode

  1. Power on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon on the LED display.
  2. On your smartphone, tablet, or computer, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select 'MUSKY DY-27' from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the speaker will emit a confirmation tone, and the Bluetooth icon on the display will stop flashing.
  5. You can now play audio wirelessly from your connected device. The effective range is up to 33 feet (10 meters).

4.2 FM Radio Mode

  1. Press the 'M' button until 'FM' appears on the LED display.
  2. Press and hold the 'Play/Pause' button to automatically scan and save available FM radio stations. The speaker will scan frequencies and store stations.
  3. Use the 'Previous Track/Volume Down' and 'Next Track/Volume Up' buttons to navigate between saved stations.
  4. Short press 'Previous Track/Volume Down' or 'Next Track/Volume Up' to adjust volume.

4.3 TF Card / USB Playback

  1. Insert a TF (MicroSD) card or a USB flash drive into the corresponding slot on the rear panel.
  2. The speaker will automatically detect the storage device and begin playing audio files (e.g., MP3 format).
  3. Use the 'Previous Track/Volume Down' and 'Next Track/Volume Up' buttons to skip tracks or adjust volume.

4.4 AUX Input Mode

  1. Connect one end of the provided AUX audio cable to the AUX port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end to the audio output jack of your external device (e.g., MP3 player, laptop).
  3. Press the 'M' button until 'AUX' appears on the LED display.
  4. Audio will now play through the speaker from your connected device. Control playback from your external device.

4.5 Clock and Alarm Function

The LED display shows the current time. Refer to the full manual for detailed instructions on setting the clock and alarm. Typically, a long press on the 'Mode' button or a dedicated 'Time Set' button (if present) allows time adjustment, followed by using volume/track buttons to set hours and minutes.

5. Hands-free Calling

When connected via Bluetooth to your smartphone, the speaker can be used for hands-free calls.

  • Answering a Call: When a call comes in, press the 'Play/Pause' button once to answer.
  • Ending a Call: During a call, press the 'Play/Pause' button once to end the call.
  • Rejecting a Call: When a call comes in, press and hold the 'Play/Pause' button to reject the call.
  • Redialing Last Number: In Bluetooth mode, double-press the 'Play/Pause' button to redial the last number.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the speaker's surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, charge the speaker regularly, even if not in use for extended periods. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Water Resistance: This speaker is not waterproof. Avoid exposure to water or high humidity.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible Solution
Speaker does not power on.Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position. Check battery level and charge the speaker if necessary.
No sound.Check the volume level on both the speaker and the connected device. Ensure the correct mode is selected. For AUX mode, verify the cable connection.
Bluetooth not connecting.Ensure the speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode. Turn off and on Bluetooth on your device. Move closer to the speaker (within 33 feet). Forget the device on your phone and try pairing again.
FM radio static/poor reception.Relocate the speaker to an area with better signal. Perform an auto-scan again to find stronger stations.
TF card/USB not playing.Ensure the card/drive is inserted correctly. Check if audio files are in a supported format (e.g., MP3). Try a different card/drive.
