4. Setup
4.1. Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present. Inspect the machine for any damage. Place the machine on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and heat.
4.2. First Use / Priming
- Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water (see 4.3).
- Place a cup under the portafilter spout (without coffee).
- Turn on the machine using the power switch. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Wait for the machine to heat up (indicator light will change or turn off).
- Press the coffee brewing button to dispense water through the portafilter. Let it run for about 30 seconds.
- Turn the steam knob to release steam from the steam wand for about 15 seconds.
- Repeat steps 5 and 6 once more. This primes the pump and cleans the internal circuits.
4.3. Filling the Water Tank
The water tank is located at the back of the machine. Lift it out, fill it with fresh, cold water up to the MAX level indicator, and place it back securely. Ensure the tank is properly seated to allow water flow.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Making Espresso (Ground Coffee)
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Turn on the machine and wait for it to heat up.
- Insert the desired filter basket into the portafilter (single or double shot).
- Add finely ground espresso coffee to the filter basket. Do not overfill.
- Tamp the coffee evenly with a tamper.
- Attach the portafilter to the group head by aligning it and twisting firmly to the right until secure.
- Place one or two espresso cups under the portafilter spouts.
- Press the coffee brewing button. Coffee will begin to flow.
- Press the button again to stop the flow when the desired amount of espresso is reached.
- Carefully remove the portafilter and discard the used coffee grounds.
5.2. Making Espresso (ESE Pods)

- Attach the portafilter to the group head.
- Place a cup under the portafilter spout.
- Press the coffee brewing button to start extraction.
- Press the button again to stop the flow.
- Carefully remove the portafilter and discard the used pod.

5.3. Frothing Milk
- Fill a pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to about one-third full.
- Turn the steam knob to the steam position. Wait for the steam indicator light to illuminate, indicating the machine has reached steaming temperature.
- Purge the steam wand by briefly opening the steam knob to release any condensed water. Close the knob.
- Immerse the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk.
- Slowly open the steam knob. You will hear a hissing sound as air is incorporated into the milk.
- Lower the pitcher slightly as the milk volume increases, keeping the tip just below the surface.
- Once the milk has doubled in volume and reached the desired temperature (around 150-160°F or 60-70°C), close the steam knob.
- Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your espresso machine.
6.1. Daily Cleaning
- Portafilter and Filter Baskets: After each use, remove the portafilter, discard coffee grounds, and rinse the portafilter and filter basket under hot water. Wipe clean.
- Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray daily. It is removable for easy cleaning.
- Steam Wand: Immediately after frothing milk, wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Briefly open the steam knob to purge any milk from inside the wand.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

6.2. Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the machine, affecting performance. Descale your machine regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use (e.g., every 2-3 months). Use a commercial descaling solution specifically designed for coffee machines, following the product's instructions. Alternatively, a solution of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio) can be used.
- Empty the water tank.
- Fill the tank with the descaling solution.
- Place a large container under the portafilter and steam wand.
- Turn on the machine and allow it to heat up.
- Run half of the solution through the coffee brewing cycle (without coffee).
- Run the remaining half through the steam wand.
- Turn off the machine and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
- Empty the tank and rinse it thoroughly.
- Fill the tank with fresh water and run several cycles through both the coffee spout and steam wand to rinse out any descaling solution.
