3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of your Pioneer Mini Split system. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified HVAC professional.

3.1 Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully unpack all components and inspect them for any shipping damage. Ensure all listed parts are present. Refer to the packing list provided with your unit.

3.2 Choosing Installation Location

Select a location for both the indoor and outdoor units that allows for proper airflow, drainage, and accessibility for maintenance. The indoor unit should be mounted on a sturdy wall, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. The outdoor unit should be placed on a stable, level surface, with sufficient clearance for air circulation.

3.3 Electrical Connections

The unit requires a 110-120 VAC 60 Hz power supply. All electrical wiring must comply with local and national electrical codes. It is highly recommended to have a licensed electrician handle all electrical connections.

3.4 Refrigerant Piping and Drainage

The system comes with a 16ft copper piping kit. Ensure proper flaring and tightening of connections to prevent refrigerant leaks. The drain line must be installed with a downward slope to allow for proper condensate drainage.
