1. Introduction
This instruction manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your Nomad Cabin 4 Tent. Please read this manual thoroughly before attempting to set up or use the tent. Proper setup and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your tent.
The Nomad Cabin 4 is a spacious and versatile 4-person tunnel tent designed for comfortable camping. It features a total area of 22.6m² and a height of 2.2m, offering ample standing room and freedom of movement. The tent includes a waterproof polyester flysheet, a large mesh front door, multiple windows with internal curtains for privacy, and a side veranda for gear storage. A sewn-in groundsheet and an electrical cable port enhance convenience.
2. Safety Information
- Fire Safety: Keep all flame and heat sources away from the tent fabric. The tent material is flame-retardant but not fireproof.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation to prevent condensation and reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning if using heating or cooking appliances inside (not recommended).
- Weather Conditions: Do not set up the tent under trees with dead branches. In strong winds, ensure all guy lines are securely pegged. In heavy rain, check for proper tensioning to allow water runoff.
- Electrical Safety: When using the electrical cable port, ensure all electrical equipment and cables are suitable for outdoor use and protected from moisture.
- Children: Keep children away from tent poles and pegs during setup and takedown to prevent injury.
3. Package Contents
Before setup, verify that all components are present:
- Nomad Cabin 4 Tent Flysheet
- Inner Tent (pre-attached or separate)
- Durawrap Fiberglass Poles (12.7mm)
- Steel V-shaped / Steel Pegs
- Guy Lines (PP string / 25mm PP webbing)
- Carry Bag with separate storage bag
- Awning Poles (for optional awning)
- Clothing Rail

4. Setup Instructions
The Cabin 4 tent is designed for straightforward pitching thanks to its short pole sleeves, ring-and-pin system, and included pegs.
- Unpack and Lay Out: Choose a flat, clear area for your tent. Unpack the tent from its carry bag and spread the flysheet out on the ground. Ensure the sewn-in groundsheet is flat.
- Assemble Poles: Connect the sections of each fiberglass pole.
- Insert Poles: Slide the assembled poles through the designated short pole sleeves on the flysheet. The poles are color-coded or clearly marked to match their respective sleeves.
- Secure Poles with Ring-and-Pin System: At each pole end, locate the metal ring and pin. Insert the end of the pole onto the pin. This system helps tension the tent structure.
- Raise the Tent: With the poles in place, the tent structure will begin to take shape.
- Peg Down the Base: Secure the base of the tent using the V-shaped pegs provided. Start with the corners and then work your way around the perimeter, ensuring the tent is taut.
- Attach Guy Lines: Extend all guy lines and peg them securely into the ground at an appropriate angle (approximately 45 degrees from the tent). Adjust the tensioners to make the tent stable and taut.
- Inner Tent (if separate): If your inner tent is not pre-attached, clip it into the designated loops inside the flysheet.
- Optional Awning Setup: If using the optional awning, attach the awning poles and secure them with pegs and guy lines as instructed.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Ventilation and Airflow
The Cabin 4 tent is equipped with a large mesh door at the front and multiple windows to ensure good airflow and reduce condensation. Keep mesh panels open when possible, especially during warmer weather, to maintain a comfortable interior climate.
5.2 Privacy and Light Control
All windows feature internal curtains. These can be rolled up and secured for maximum light and views, or rolled down for privacy and to block out light.
5.3 Electrical Cable Port
A convenient electrical cable port is integrated into the tent design. This allows you to safely run an electrical cable into the tent for powering devices, while maintaining weather protection. Ensure the port is properly sealed around the cable to prevent water ingress.
5.4 Side Veranda
Utilize the side veranda with its mesh door for storing muddy boots, wet gear, or other items you wish to keep separate from the main living and sleeping areas. This helps keep the interior clean and dry.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Tent Fabric: Clean the tent fabric with a soft brush or sponge and lukewarm water. Do not use harsh detergents, bleach, or solvents, as these can damage the waterproof coating and fabric.
- Groundsheet: Wipe the sewn-in groundsheet clean with a damp cloth.
- Poles and Pegs: Clean poles and pegs of any dirt or mud before packing.
6.2 Drying and Storage
Always ensure the tent is completely dry before packing it away. Packing a damp tent can lead to mildew, fabric degradation, and unpleasant odors. If you must pack it wet, unpack and dry it thoroughly as soon as possible. Store the tent in its carry bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
6.3 Waterproofing
Over time, the waterproof coating and seam sealing may degrade. You can re-treat the flysheet with a suitable tent-specific waterproofing spray or seam sealer to maintain its water resistance.
7. Troubleshooting
- Condensation Inside Tent: This is common in tents. Ensure adequate ventilation by opening mesh doors and windows. Avoid cooking inside the tent.
- Water Leaks: Check if the tent is properly pitched and taut, allowing water to run off. Inspect seams for damage or wear; re-seal if necessary. Ensure all zippers are fully closed.
- Poles Breaking: Ensure poles are fully assembled before inserting into sleeves. Avoid excessive force during setup. Replace damaged pole sections promptly.
- Zippers Sticking: Clean zippers of dirt and debris. Apply a silicone-based zipper lubricant if necessary.
