Setup
1. Charging and Installing the Battery
Before initial use, fully charge the supplied rechargeable battery pack using the AC adaptor and charger. Once charged, align the battery with the battery slot on the rear of the camcorder and slide it in until it clicks into place.

2. Inserting Recording Media
The PXW-Z150 supports Memory Stick Duo and SD cards. Open the media slot cover and insert the memory card(s) firmly until they click. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct orientation. Close the cover securely.
3. Attaching the Lens Hood and Eyecup
Attach the supplied lens hood to the front of the lens by aligning the marks and twisting until it locks. This helps to reduce flare and protect the lens. Attach the large eyecup to the viewfinder for comfortable viewing.

Operating the Camcorder
Powering On/Off
To power on the camcorder, slide the POWER switch to the ON position. To power off, slide it to the OFF position. Ensure the camcorder is off before removing the battery or media card.
Recording 4K and Full HD Footage
The PXW-Z150 supports flexible 4K and Full HD recordings, including XAVC Long GOP at 100Mbps. Select your desired recording format and resolution from the menu. Press the REC START/STOP button to begin and end recording.

Zoom and Focus Control
Utilize the 12x optical zoom for precise framing. The Clear Image Zoom function extends this to 24x for HD and 18x for 4K without significant loss of quality. The camcorder features fast and reliable autofocus, or you can switch to manual focus for precise control. Use the focus assist button for magnified viewing to achieve tack-sharp focus.
High Frame Rate (HFR) Shooting
Capture stunning slow-motion footage with HFR 120 fps Super Slow Motion (continuous) capabilities. Refer to the on-screen menu for HFR settings and options.
Audio Recording
The camcorder includes dual XLR inputs for professional audio recording, allowing connection of external microphones. Adjust audio levels using the dedicated controls. An omni-directional stereo electret condenser microphone is also built-in.

Network Connectivity
Utilize Wi-Fi/NFC networking capabilities for high mobility, including remote control and file transfer. Consult the network settings menu for configuration.
Built-in ND Filter
The integrated ND filter allows for greater control over exposure in bright lighting conditions without affecting depth of field. Adjust the filter settings as needed.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Camcorder
- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the camcorder.
- For the lens, use a lens brush or blower to remove dust, then gently wipe with a lens cleaning cloth and solution if necessary. Avoid touching the lens surface directly.
- Keep the LCD screen clean using a soft, lint-free cloth.
Storage
When not in use, store the camcorder in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the battery if storing for an extended period.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause / Solution |

| Camcorder does not power on. | Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. Check if the AC adaptor is properly connected if using external power. |
| Cannot record video. | Check if a memory card is inserted and has sufficient free space. Ensure the camcorder is not in playback mode. Verify recording settings. |
| Image is blurry or out of focus. | Check focus mode (Autofocus/Manual). If in manual, adjust the focus ring. Use Focus Magnification for precise manual focusing. Clean the lens if smudged. |
| No audio recorded. | Check audio input settings (internal mic, XLR). Ensure audio levels are not set to minimum or muted. Verify external microphones are properly connected and powered. |
| "Repair Database" message appears. | This message may appear when inserting a new or PC-formatted memory card. Follow the on-screen prompts to repair the database. It is recommended to format memory cards within the camcorder for optimal performance. |
