5. Setup and Installation

5.1. Inserting the MicroSD Card

Before first use, a MicroSD card (not included) must be inserted. The camera supports cards up to 32GB. Ensure the camera is powered off before inserting or removing the card.

  1. Locate the MicroSD card slot on the side of the camera.
  2. Gently insert the MicroSD card with the gold contacts facing the back of the camera until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently push the card in until it clicks, then release, and it will spring out.

5.2. Mounting the Camera

The camera comes with a suction mount for easy installation on your vehicle's windshield or dashboard.

  1. Clean the desired mounting area on your windshield or dashboard thoroughly to ensure a strong suction.
  2. Attach the camera to the suction mount.
  3. Press the suction cup firmly against the cleaned surface and push down the lever to secure it.
  4. Adjust the camera angle to ensure a clear view of the road ahead. Ensure it does not obstruct your driving view.

5.3. Powering the Camera

Connect the camera to your vehicle's power source using the provided car charger.

  1. Plug the mini USB end of the car charger into the camera's mini USB port.
  2. Plug the other end of the car charger into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket).
  3. The camera will typically power on automatically and begin recording when the vehicle's ignition is turned on.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Automatic Recording

Once connected to power and the vehicle's ignition is on, the camera is designed to automatically start recording. A recording indicator (e.g., a flashing red dot or "REC" icon) will appear on the screen.

6.2. Manual Recording

To manually start or stop recording, press the OK/Record button.

6.3. Loop Recording

The camera features loop recording, which means it continuously records video. When the memory card is full, the camera will automatically overwrite the oldest unlocked video files. This ensures continuous recording without manual intervention.

6.4. Playback

To review recorded footage:

  1. Press the Mode button to switch to playback mode.
  2. Use the Up/Down navigation buttons to browse through recorded video files.
  3. Press the OK/Record button to play the selected video.
  4. Press the Mode button again to exit playback mode.

6.5. Settings Menu

To access and adjust camera settings:

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Use the Up/Down navigation buttons to scroll through menu options (e.g., Resolution, Loop Recording duration, Date/Time, Night Vision, G-Sensor sensitivity, Format).
  3. Press the OK/Record button to select an option or enter a sub-menu.
  4. Use Up/Down to change values and OK/Record to confirm.
  5. Press the Menu button again to exit the settings menu.

Note: The camera features Night Vision for improved low-light recording and captures video at 720p resolution.
