Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. It is recommended to have this unit installed by a qualified technician.
Mounting the Radio
- Select a suitable location in your vehicle that does not obstruct driving or airbag deployment.
- Use the provided mounting bracket as a template to mark drill holes.
- Drill pilot holes and secure the mounting bracket using the supplied screws.
- Slide the radio into the bracket and secure it with the thumb screws.
Power Connection
- Connect the red wire of the power cord to a positive (+) 12-volt DC source (e.g., vehicle battery or fuse box).
- Connect the black wire of the power cord to a negative (-) ground source (e.g., vehicle chassis).
- Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated to prevent short circuits.
Antenna Connection
- Connect a properly tuned CB antenna (not included) to the antenna connector on the rear of the radio.
- A low SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) is essential for optimal performance and to prevent damage to the radio. Consult an SWR meter to tune your antenna.

Operating Instructions
Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Rotate the VOLUME/SQUELCH knob clockwise to turn the radio on. Continue rotating to adjust the volume.
- Channel Selection: Use the CHANNEL selector knob to choose one of the 40 available CB channels. The selected channel number will be displayed on the LED indicator.
- Squelch Control: Rotate the VOLUME/SQUELCH knob counter-clockwise until you hear static, then slowly rotate clockwise until the static disappears. This sets the squelch level to block out weak signals and background noise.
- Transmitting: Press and hold the Push-To-Talk (PTT) button on the microphone to transmit. Release the PTT button to receive.
Advanced Controls
- RF Gain: Adjust the RF GAIN knob to control the sensitivity of the receiver. Turn clockwise for maximum sensitivity (for distant signals) and counter-clockwise to reduce sensitivity (for strong local signals).
- Mic Gain: Adjust the MIC GAIN knob to control the microphone's sensitivity. This helps ensure clear outgoing audio.
- PA/CB Switch: Toggle this switch to select between CB radio operation and Public Address (PA) mode. An external PA speaker (not included) must be connected for PA functionality.
- ANL/NB (Automatic Noise Limiter/Noise Blanker): Use the NB/ANL switch to activate or deactivate the noise limiter and noise blanker functions, which help reduce impulse noise and static.
- Hi-Cut: Activate the HI CUT switch to filter out high-frequency audio components, which can improve clarity in noisy environments.
- BRT/DIM (Brightness/Dimmer): Use the BRT/DIM switch to adjust the brightness of the LED channel display.
- Instant Channel 9: Press the CH9 button for immediate access to emergency channel 9. Press again to return to the previously selected channel.

Maintenance
- Keep the radio clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Regularly check all cable connections for security and signs of wear.
- Ensure your antenna system is properly tuned (low SWR) to prevent damage to the radio's transmitter.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power | Loose power connection; Blown fuse | Check power cable connections; Replace fuse if necessary. |
| No reception or weak reception | Squelch set too high; Antenna not connected or damaged; Poor antenna tuning | Adjust squelch; Check antenna connection; Tune antenna with SWR meter. |
| Distorted audio | Mic gain set too high; Interference | Adjust mic gain; Use ANL/NB or Hi-Cut features. |
| Cannot transmit | Microphone not connected; PA/CB switch in PA mode | Ensure microphone is securely connected; Switch to CB mode. |
