6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Setting Misting Frequency and Duration

  1. Rotate the Frequency Dial to select how often the misting cycle will repeat. Options range from 30 seconds to 60 minutes. For continuous misting, select the '∞' (infinity) setting.

6.3 Delay Function

The programmer includes a delay function to postpone the start of the misting cycle. This can be set from 1 hour up to a maximum of 11 hours. Consult the specific instructions on the device or packaging for activating this feature, as it may involve a combination of dial settings or button presses.

6.4 Low Battery Warning

The device is equipped with a low battery warning function. When batteries are low, the unit may indicate this visually (e.g., a flashing light) or automatically shut off to prevent damage. Replace batteries promptly when this occurs.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the programmer with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.

7.2 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the low battery warning activates or if the unit stops functioning. Average battery life is 3 to 6 months under normal conditions.

7.3 Winterization

Before freezing temperatures, disconnect the programmer from the tap and misting system. Remove batteries. Store the unit in a dry, frost-free location to prevent damage from freezing water.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No mist/water flow:
    • Check if the tap is fully open.
    • Ensure batteries are correctly installed and not depleted.
    • Verify that the frequency and duration dials are set to active positions (not 'OFF' or '∞' if not desired).
    • Check for blockages in the misting system or programmer's inlet/outlet.
  • Leaks from connections:
    • Ensure all connections are hand-tightened securely.
    • Check for damaged washers or O-rings and replace if necessary.
  • Incorrect timing:
    • Re-check the settings on both the Frequency and Duration dials.
    • Replace batteries if they are old or low, as this can affect timing accuracy.
