  4. Network Connection (Optional): For remote viewing and network features, connect an Ethernet cable from the receiver's LAN port to your internet router.
  5. Power On: Connect the receiver's power adapter to the 'DC IN' port and then plug it into a power outlet. The system will power on automatically.

Upon first boot, the system will guide you through an initial setup wizard. Follow the on-screen prompts to:

  • Set language and time zone.
  • Create an administrator password.
  • Configure network settings (if connected via Ethernet).
  • Format the internal storage (if a hard drive is installed).

After initial setup, the system will display the live feed from all connected cameras on your monitor. You can switch between single-camera view and multi-camera grid view using the on-screen controls or the USB mouse.

5.2 Recording

The system supports continuous recording by default. You can configure various recording settings via the main menu:

  • Recording Schedule: Set specific times for recording.

  4. Use the playback controls (play, pause, fast forward, rewind) to navigate through the footage.

5.4 Remote Access (P2P)

If the receiver is connected to your network, you can access live view and playback remotely using a compatible mobile application. Refer to the on-screen menu for QR codes or instructions to download and configure the app. Ensure your router's network settings allow for P2P connections if necessary.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning Cameras: Periodically clean the camera lenses with a soft, damp cloth to ensure clear image quality. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Checking Connections: Regularly inspect all cable connections (power, video, network) to ensure they are secure and free from damage.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the Technaxx website for any available firmware updates for your receiver. Updates can improve performance and add new features. Follow the instructions provided with the update carefully.
  • Storage Management: The system supports up to 4TB of storage. Ensure there is sufficient space for recordings. Older footage may be overwritten automatically based on your settings. Consider backing up important footage to an external USB drive.

7.2 No Camera Image

  • Check if the camera's power adapter is properly connected and receiving power.
  • Ensure the BNC video cable from the camera is securely connected to the correct 'VIDEO IN' port on the receiver.
  • Test the camera with a different video input port on the receiver, if available.

7.3 Cannot Access Remotely

  • Verify the receiver's LAN port is connected to your router with an active Ethernet cable.
