Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury, including the following:
- Read all instructions thoroughly before operating the food processor.
- Keep hands and utensils away from moving blades or discs while processing food to prevent severe personal injury and/or damage to the food processor.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors.
- Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Ensure the appliance is built to North American Electrical Standards.
- Always ensure the lid is securely locked in place before operating the unit. The food processor will not function if the lid is not correctly assembled.
- The motor base is designed to be heavy for stability during operation. Exercise caution when moving the unit.
- Blades and discs are extremely sharp. Handle them with extreme care during assembly, disassembly, and cleaning.

- Pusher
- Stainless Steel Medium Slicing Disc (4mm)

Setup and Assembly
- Before first use, wash all removable parts (work bowl, lid, discs, blades, spatula) in warm soapy water or on the top rack of a dishwasher. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Place the motor base on a clean, dry, flat, and stable surface.
- Place the work bowl onto the motor base, aligning the handle with the front of the base, and twist clockwise until it locks securely into place.
- Insert the blade stem attachment onto the motor shaft in the center of the work bowl.
- Carefully place the desired blade (chopping/mixing/kneading) or disc (slicing/shredding) onto the blade stem. Ensure it is seated properly.
- Place the lid onto the work bowl, aligning the feed tube with the work bowl handle, and twist clockwise until it locks into place. The safety interlock tab on the lid must engage with the safety lock on the base for the unit to operate.
- Insert the pusher into the feed tube.
Operating Instructions
Basic Operation
- Ensure the unit is properly assembled and all components are securely locked.
- Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
- Add ingredients to the work bowl. For slicing or shredding, place ingredients into the feed tube.
- Select the desired function using the control panel buttons:
- ON: For continuous processing.
- PULSE: For short bursts of power, ideal for chopping or controlling consistency.
- DOUGH: Specifically designed for kneading dough, with speed automatically adjusting for proper consistency.
- To stop operation, press the OFF button.
Tips for Best Results
- For chopping, use the PULSE function for better control and to avoid over-processing ingredients.
- When slicing or shredding, apply even, gentle pressure on the pusher to ensure uniform results.
- The wide-mouth feed tube accommodates whole fruits and vegetables, minimizing the need for pre-cutting.
- For dough preparation, add dry ingredients first, then slowly add wet ingredients through the feed tube while the machine is running on the DOUGH setting.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning
All removable parts (work bowl, lid, discs, blades, spatula) are dishwasher-safe, with the top rack recommended for optimal care. The motor base should be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water.
- Always unplug the food processor from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
- Carefully remove blades and discs. Remember they are extremely sharp.
- For stubborn food residue, pre-soak parts in warm soapy water before cleaning.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can scratch the surfaces of the appliance.
Storage
Store the food processor in a dry place. Due to the weight of the motor base, you may consider storing the base and attachments separately if cabinet space is limited. Blades and attachments can be safely stored inside the plastic container provided, if applicable, or in a secure drawer.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit does not turn on. | Not properly assembled or plugged in. | Ensure work bowl and lid are securely locked into place. Check power cord connection to the outlet. |
| Motor sounds strained. | Overloaded or ingredients are too hard. | Reduce the amount of ingredients being processed. Cut hard ingredients into smaller, manageable pieces. |
| Food not processing evenly. | Too many ingredients or incorrect technique. | Process in smaller batches. Use the PULSE function for better control over consistency. |
| Leaking from work bowl. | Work bowl or lid not properly sealed. | Ensure work bowl and lid are twisted and locked into place correctly. Check for any damage to seals or cracks in the bowl. |
