5. Remote Controller Overview

The 2.4G transmitter controls the quadcopter's flight. It features dual-spring control sticks for precise manipulation.

5.1 Battery Installation (Transmitter)

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the transmitter.
  2. Insert 6 x 1.5V AA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Always use new batteries and do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.

6. Quadcopter Battery Charging

The quadcopter is powered by a 7.4V 360mAh Li-Po battery. Follow these steps for safe charging:

  1. Connect the quadcopter battery to the USB charging cable.
  2. Plug the USB charging cable into a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  3. The charging indicator light on the USB cable will show the charging status (refer to charger instructions for specific light indications).
  4. Charging typically takes approximately 170 minutes. Do not leave the battery unattended during charging.
  5. Once charging is complete, disconnect the battery from the charger.

Caution: Discontinue use if the battery shows signs of swelling, leakage, or damage. Do not charge near flammable materials.

7. Setup and Pre-Flight Checks

7.1 Propeller Installation

Ensure propellers are correctly installed on the corresponding motor shafts. Each propeller is marked (e.g., A or B) and must match the motor's designation. Secure them with the provided screws.

7.2 Propeller Guard Installation

Attach the propeller guards to the quadcopter frame using the provided screws. Ensure they are firmly secured to prevent detachment during flight.

7.3 Binding the Quadcopter and Transmitter

  1. Place the quadcopter on a flat, level surface.
  2. Connect the fully charged battery to the quadcopter. The quadcopter's indicator lights will flash.
  3. Turn on the transmitter.
  4. Push the left throttle stick (Mode 2) or right throttle stick (Mode 1) all the way up, then all the way down.
  5. The quadcopter's indicator lights will stop flashing and remain solid, indicating successful binding.

7.4 Gyro Calibration

After binding, perform a gyro calibration for stable flight:

  1. Ensure the quadcopter is on a flat, level surface.
  2. Move both control sticks to the bottom-right corner simultaneously (or as per specific transmitter instructions).
  3. The quadcopter's lights will flash rapidly and then become solid, indicating successful calibration.

8. Operating Instructions

8.1 Basic Flight Controls

  • Throttle (Left Stick Up/Down): Controls ascend and descend.
  • Yaw (Left Stick Left/Right): Rotates the quadcopter left or right.
  • Forward/Backward (Right Stick Up/Down): Moves the quadcopter forward or backward.
  • Left/Right Sideward Fly (Right Stick Left/Right): Moves the quadcopter sideways.

8.2 One-Key Take-off and Landing

The CX-33C features one-key take-off and landing functions for simplified operation.

  • One-Key Take-off: Press the designated button (refer to transmitter diagram) once. The quadcopter will automatically ascend to a stable hovering height.
  • One-Key Landing: Press the designated button again during flight. The quadcopter will automatically descend and land gently.

8.3 Mode Switching (Mode 1 / Mode 2)

The transmitter supports switching between Mode 1 and Mode 2 control schemes. Refer to your transmitter's specific button for this function.

8.4 Camera Operation

To use the camera, insert a compatible micro SD card (not included) into the camera slot on the quadcopter. Refer to the transmitter's specific buttons for initiating video recording or taking photos. Ensure sufficient lighting for optimal video quality.

9. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the quadcopter and transmitter. Avoid water or solvents.
  • Propeller Inspection: Regularly check propellers for cracks, bends, or damage. Replace damaged propellers immediately.
  • Motor Care: Keep motors free from dust and debris. Do not force rotation if obstructed.
  • Battery Storage: Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For long-term storage, charge batteries to approximately 50%.
  • Firmware: Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates.

10. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Quadcopter does not respond to transmitter. Not bound, low transmitter battery, low quadcopter battery. Re-bind the quadcopter. Replace transmitter batteries. Charge quadcopter battery.
Unstable flight/drifting. Gyro not calibrated, damaged propellers, uneven surface during take-off. Perform gyro calibration on a flat surface. Check and replace damaged propellers.
Short flight time. Battery not fully charged, aging battery. Ensure battery is fully charged (approx. 170 mins). Consider replacing the battery if it's old.
Limited control range. Environmental interference, low transmitter battery. Fly in open areas away from interference. Replace transmitter batteries.
Camera not recording/poor quality. No SD card, incompatible SD card, insufficient lighting. Insert a compatible micro SD card. Ensure adequate lighting.
