Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using the iron.
- Use iron only for its intended use.
- To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
- The iron should always be turned to OFF before plugging or unplugging from outlet. Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet; instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
- Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let iron cool completely before putting away. Loop cord loosely around iron when storing.
- Always disconnect iron from electrical outlet when filling with water or emptying, and when not in use.
- Do not operate iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron; take it to a qualified serviceman for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of electric shock when the iron is used.
- Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children. Do not leave iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board.
- Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Use caution when you turn a steam iron upside down – there may be hot water in the reservoir.

Operating Instructions
Temperature and Fabric Selection
- Plug the iron into a standard electrical outlet.

Figure 3: Temperature control dial with fabric settings and the self-clean button. The dial clearly shows settings for various fabric types.
Steam Ironing
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Set the temperature control to a steam-appropriate setting (usually Cotton, Linen, or higher). Steam will not generate at lower temperatures.
- Move the steam control lever to the desired steam level.
- Begin ironing.
Dry Ironing
- Ensure the water tank is empty or the steam control lever is set to the DRY position.
- Set the temperature control dial to the desired fabric setting.
- Begin ironing.
Spray Mist Function
- Press the spray mist button to release a fine mist of water onto the fabric. This is useful for dampening stubborn wrinkles.
Automatic Shut-Off
For safety, the iron is equipped with a 15-minute automatic shut-off feature. If the iron is left stationary in an upright position for 15 minutes, it will automatically turn off. To reset, simply move the iron. The heating indicator light will illuminate, and the iron will reheat to the selected temperature.

- Allow the iron to heat until the indicator light turns off.
- Unplug the iron.
- Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
- Press and hold the CLEAN button (refer to Figure 3). Hot water and steam will flush out from the soleplate, carrying mineral deposits.
- Gently rock the iron back and forth until the water tank is empty.
- Release the CLEAN button.
- Plug the iron back in and allow it to heat up to dry the soleplate.
- Unplug and store once cooled.
Draining and Storage
- After each use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely.
- Empty any remaining water from the tank by opening the water fill cover and tilting the iron over a sink.
- Store the iron upright on its heel rest to prevent water leakage from the soleplate. The Safe Storage Strip will indicate when it's safe to store.
Cleaning the Exterior
- Wipe the exterior of the iron with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- For stubborn spots on the soleplate, use a non-abrasive iron cleaner.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
