Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Sceptre IPS 34-inch UltraWide Monitor. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your monitor to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Please read this manual thoroughly before using your new monitor.
Setup
1. Unboxing and Package Contents
Carefully remove the monitor and all accessories from the packaging. Ensure all items listed below are present:
- Sceptre IPS 34-inch UltraWide Monitor
- Monitor Stand (Base and Neck)
- Power Adapter and Power Cable
- DisplayPort Cable
- HDMI Cable
- USB-C Cable
- User Manual (this document)
- Screws for stand assembly
- 2 AAA batteries (for remote control, if included)
2. Stand Assembly
To assemble the monitor stand:
- Attach the stand neck to the monitor panel using the provided screws.
- Secure the stand base to the stand neck using the remaining screws.
- Place the assembled monitor on a stable, flat surface.

3. VESA Mounting (Optional)
The Sceptre E345B-QUN168W monitor is VESA compatible, allowing it to be mounted on a wall or an articulating arm (mount sold separately). Follow the instructions provided with your VESA mount for proper installation. Ensure the VESA mount is rated to support the monitor's weight (20.9 pounds).
4. Connecting Cables
Connect the necessary cables to your monitor and computer:
- Power: Connect the power adapter to the monitor's DC input and then plug the power cable into a power outlet.
- Video: Connect one end of the DisplayPort, HDMI, or USB-C cable to the corresponding port on your monitor and the other end to your computer's video output.
- USB Hub: Connect the USB-B 3.0 upstream cable from the monitor to your computer to enable the monitor's USB-A 3.0 ports.
- Audio: If desired, connect headphones or external speakers to the 3.5mm audio output jack on the monitor.

Operating the Monitor
1. Power On/Off
Press the power button (usually a joystick or dedicated button on the bottom/rear of the monitor) to turn the monitor on or off. The power indicator light will illuminate when the monitor is on.
2. On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu
The OSD menu allows you to adjust various monitor settings. Use the joystick/buttons to navigate the menu:
- Picture Settings: Adjust brightness, contrast, sharpness, color temperature, and HDR modes.
- Display Settings: Configure aspect ratio, input source, and FreeSync Premium.
- Audio Settings: Control volume and mute.
- PIP/PBP: Enable Picture-in-Picture or Picture-by-Picture modes to view multiple sources simultaneously.
- System Settings: Access language, OSD timeout, and factory reset options.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Sceptre monitor, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning the Screen: Gently wipe the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, use a monitor-specific cleaning solution applied to the cloth, not directly to the screen.
- Cleaning the Casing: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the monitor's casing. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ventilation: Ensure the monitor's ventilation openings are not blocked to prevent overheating.
- Power Off When Not in Use: Turn off the monitor when not in use for extended periods to save energy and prolong its lifespan.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your monitor, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the power outlet. Ensure the power outlet is functional.
- No Signal: Verify that the video cable (DisplayPort, HDMI, or USB-C) is correctly connected to both the monitor and your computer. Ensure the correct input source is selected in the OSD menu.
- Flickering/Distorted Image: Check the video cable for damage. Try a different cable or port. Ensure your graphics card drivers are up to date.
- Buttons Not Responding: Try resetting the monitor to factory defaults via the OSD menu.
- Sound Issues: Check the volume settings in the OSD menu and on your computer. Ensure external speakers or headphones are properly connected.
