4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Battery Installation
The thermometer requires one 9V battery. To install the battery:
- Carefully remove the rubber protective sleeve from the thermometer.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit.
- Open the battery cover.
- Connect the 9V battery to the battery clips, ensuring correct polarity.
- Place the battery into the compartment and close the cover. Secure it with the provided screws.
- Re-attach the rubber protective sleeve.

4.2 Thermocouple Connection
The 6802 II thermometer supports two K-type thermocouple inputs (T1 and T2). Ensure correct polarity when connecting the sensors.
- Identify the positive and negative poles on the K-type thermocouple connector.
- Insert the thermocouple connector into the corresponding T1 or T2 input port on the thermometer, aligning the poles correctly.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
Press the POWER button to turn the instrument on or off.
5.2 Temperature Unit Selection (C/F/K)
Press the C/F/K button to cycle through Celsius (C), Fahrenheit (F), and Kelvin (K) temperature units.
5.3 Data Hold Function
Press the HOLD button to freeze the current temperature reading on the display. Press it again to release the hold function and resume live readings.
5.4 MAX/MIN/AVG Function
Press the MAX/MIN/AVG button to display the maximum, minimum, or average measured temperature values. Cycle through these modes by pressing the button repeatedly.
5.5 Dual Channel Measurement (T1/T2 & T1-T2)
The thermometer can display readings from two thermocouples (T1 and T2) and their differential (T1-T2).
- Press T1/T2 to switch between displaying T1, T2, or both simultaneously.
- Press T1-T2 to display the temperature difference between the two connected thermocouples.

5.6 Self-Calibration and Factory Reset

6. Maintenance
