3. Setup Instructions

3.1. Assembling the Background Stand Support System

  1. Unpack all components of the background stand.
  2. Extend the two backdrop stands (vertical poles) to your desired height (up to 8.5ft/2.6m). Secure the sections using the quick-release levers.
  3. Assemble the crossbar by connecting the individual sections. The crossbar can extend up to 10ft/3m.
  4. Attach the assembled crossbar to the top of the two backdrop stands. Ensure it is securely seated.
  5. Select your desired polyester backdrop (Black, White, or Green). The backdrops feature a rod pocket for easy sliding onto the crossbar.
  6. Use the provided backdrop clamps to secure the backdrop to the crossbar and stands, ensuring it is taut and wrinkle-free.

3.2. Setting Up the Continuous Lighting

  1. Extend the light stands (up to 7ft/200cm) to your preferred height and position.
  2. Screw the 24W 5700K LED bulbs into the Single Head Light Holders.
  3. Attach the light holders to the top of the light stands.
  4. For softbox lighting: Assemble the 24"x24" softboxes. The softboxes effectively diffuse light for even illumination. They are equipped with an E26 light bulb socket, allowing direct connection of the bulb.
  5. For umbrella lighting: Insert the 33" white translucent umbrellas into the umbrella holder on the light stands. These umbrellas soften and broaden the light output.
  6. Plug the light holders into a power outlet. Use the integrated switches on the cords to turn the lights on/off.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Adjusting Light Position and Angle

The light stands feature 3-section telescopic legs and single-action locks for quick height adjustment. The single head light holders allow you to adjust the angle of the light source by 180 degrees to achieve optimal illumination for your subject.

4.2. Utilizing Light Modifiers

  • Umbrellas: The white translucent umbrellas are ideal for softening and broadening the light output, creating a diffused and even light spread.
  • Softboxes: The softboxes provide a more controlled and directional light, effectively diffusing harsh light to give you even illumination and enhance skin tones in portrait photography.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

  • Backdrops: The polyester backdrops can be gently cleaned with a damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, follow the care instructions on the fabric.
  • Light Stands & Holders: Wipe down with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
  • Softboxes & Umbrellas: Gently wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid excessive moisture.

5.2. Storage

When not in use, disassemble the kit and store all components in the provided carry bags. This protects the equipment from dust, damage, and makes transportation convenient.
