3. Setup
3.1. Charging the Battery
- Insert the supplied Rechargeable Battery Pack (NP-FV50) into the battery compartment on the camcorder.
- Connect the AC Adapter to the camcorder's DC IN jack.
- Plug the AC Adapter into a wall outlet. The POWER/CHG indicator will illuminate during charging.
- Charging is complete when the POWER/CHG indicator turns off.
The camcorder also supports USB charging (DC 5V 1500mA) and USB power supply for recording/playback (with supplied AC Adaptor AC-UUD12) or playback only (with a non-supplied AC Adaptor limiting 500mA).
3.2. Inserting a Memory Card
The camcorder has 32GB of internal memory. For additional storage, insert a compatible SDXC flash memory card into the memory card slot. Ensure the card is inserted correctly with the contacts facing the proper direction until it clicks into place.
4. Operating the Camcorder
4.1. Power On/Off
To power on the camcorder, open the 3.0" LCD Touch panel. The camcorder will automatically power on. To power off, close the LCD panel.
4.2. Recording Videos
- Open the LCD panel to power on the camcorder.
- Adjust the lens cover to the OPEN position using the switch near the lens.
- Frame your shot using the LCD screen.
- Press the START/STOP button (usually located at the back or side) to begin recording. The recording indicator will appear on the screen.
- Press the START/STOP button again to stop recording.
