ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Scanner does not power on.
  • Loose connection to vehicle's DLC.
  • Vehicle ignition not in "ON" position.
  • Vehicle battery low or dead.
  • Damaged OBD-II cable.
  • Ensure the cable is securely plugged into the DLC.
  • Turn the ignition to the "ON" position (engine off).
  • Check vehicle battery voltage.
  • Try a different OBD-II cable if available, or contact support.
"No Communication" message displayed.
  • Incorrect protocol selected (though scanner auto-detects).
  • Vehicle not OBD-II compliant (pre-1996 or non-standard).
  • Faulty connection or cable.
  • Vehicle's ECU is faulty.
  • Verify vehicle is 1996 or newer and OBD-II compliant.
  • Check all connections.
  • Try the scanner on another OBD-II compliant vehicle to rule out scanner fault.
  • Consult a professional mechanic if ECU is suspected.
Check Engine Light (MIL) remains on after clearing codes.
  • Underlying fault not repaired.
  • Intermittent fault re-occurred.
  • Not all monitors have completed their test cycles.
  • Ensure the vehicle fault has been properly diagnosed and repaired.
  • Drive the vehicle through a complete drive cycle to allow monitors to run.
  • Check I/M Readiness status to see which monitors are incomplete.
