7. Maintenance

7.1. Battery Replacement

The key fob uses a 3V Lithium Cell battery (e.g., CR2032). When the remote's range decreases or it stops responding, the battery may need replacement. Refer to Video 1 for guidance on disassembling the key fob to access the battery compartment.

  1. Carefully separate the two halves of the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old battery, noting its orientation (+/-).
  3. Insert a new 3V Lithium Cell battery (CR2032) with the correct polarity.
  4. Reassemble the key fob casing securely.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Remote Not Responding: Ensure the battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. If the issue persists, the key fob may need to be reprogrammed by a professional.
  • Vehicle Not Starting: Verify the key blade is properly cut and inserted into the ignition. If the vehicle still does not start, there may be an issue with the key fob's transponder chip or the vehicle's immobilizer system, requiring professional diagnosis.
  • Intermittent Functionality: This could indicate a low battery or interference. Try replacing the battery. If the problem continues, consult a professional.
