Safety Information
Your child's safety is our top priority. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Always read and understand all instructions before assembling and using the crib.
- Keep all small parts and hardware away from children during assembly and after.
- Ensure all fasteners are tightened securely. Regularly check for loose hardware and tighten as necessary.
- Do not use the crib if any parts are missing, broken, or damaged. Contact customer support for replacement parts.
- Do not place the crib near windows, cords, or blinds that could pose a strangulation hazard.
- Use only a mattress that is specifically designed for cribs and fits snugly, leaving no gaps larger than 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) between the mattress and the crib sides.
- Never use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as mattress covers, as they can cause suffocation.
- Discontinue use of the crib when your child begins to climb out or reaches 35 inches (89 cm) in height.
Setup
Assembly of the Child Craft Camden 4-in-1 Convertible Crib is required. Please refer to the detailed, step-by-step assembly instructions included in your product packaging. It is recommended to have a second person assist with assembly, particularly when attaching the mattress support, to ensure proper alignment and safety.
Before beginning, ensure all necessary components are present. The package includes all necessary components for the crib configuration. Conversion kits for toddler and full-size beds are sold separately.

Operating the Crib
Mattress Height Adjustment
The crib features a metal mattress support with 2 adjustable positions. For newborns and young infants, position the mattress at the highest level for easier access. As your child grows and becomes more mobile (e.g., begins to push up on hands and knees, or reaches 35 inches in height), lower the mattress to the lowest position to prevent them from climbing out of the crib.
Conversion to Toddler Bed
To convert the crib into a toddler bed, remove the front rail. An optional toddler guard rail (Model F09514, sold separately) can be installed in its place to provide a partial barrier while allowing your child to get in and out independently. Ensure the mattress is in the lowest position for this conversion.

Conversion to Day Bed
For a day bed configuration, simply remove the front rail of the crib. No additional rails are typically required for this setup, providing an open side for easy access.
Conversion to Full-Size Bed
To convert the crib into a full-size bed, both side rails of the crib must be removed. You will then need to attach the optional full-size bed rails (sold separately) to the existing headboard and footboard of the crib. This allows the crib to serve as a headboard and footboard for a standard full-size mattress.
Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity and safety of your Child Craft Camden Crib:
- Cleaning: Wipe the crib regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or furniture polish that could damage the non-toxic finish or pose a risk to your child.
- Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all screws, bolts, and other hardware to ensure they remain tight. Loose hardware can compromise the crib's structural integrity and safety.
- Storage: If storing the crib, disassemble it carefully and store all parts in a dry, temperature-controlled environment to prevent warping or damage. Keep all hardware in a sealed bag to prevent loss.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Child Craft Camden Crib, consider the following common solutions:
- Wobbly or Unstable: Check all bolts and screws to ensure they are fully tightened. Refer to the assembly instructions to confirm all parts are correctly installed.
- Parts Not Fitting: Double-check that you are using the correct parts for each step as indicated in the assembly manual. Sometimes similar-looking parts have subtle differences.
- Chemical Odor: New furniture may have a slight odor. Ensure the room is well-ventilated for several days after assembly to allow any residual odors to dissipate.
- Damaged or Missing Parts: Do not attempt to use the crib with damaged or missing parts. Contact Child Craft customer support immediately for assistance.
