4. Setup

Before using your binoculars, follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Attach Neck Strap: Securely attach the provided neck strap to the strap loops on the binoculars. This helps prevent accidental drops.
  3. Remove Lens Covers: Remove the objective lens covers from the front and the eyepiece covers from the rear.
  4. Adjust Eyecups: Rotate the eyecups upwards or downwards to achieve the optimal eye relief. If you wear glasses, you may prefer to keep the eyecups down.

  1. Adjust Interpupillary Distance: Hold the binoculars with both hands and look through the eyepieces. Adjust the distance between the two barrels by gently pushing them closer or pulling them further apart until you see a single, clear circular field of view.
  2. Focusing:
    • Close your right eye and focus on a distant object using the central focus knob until the image in your left eye is sharp.
    • Open your right eye and close your left eye. Use the diopter adjustment ring (usually on the right eyepiece) to focus the image in your right eye until it is sharp.
    • Now, with both eyes open, the binoculars are adjusted to your vision. For subsequent viewing, only use the central focus knob to adjust for different distances.
  3. Viewing: Once focused, aim the binoculars at your desired subject. The wide field of view and 10x magnification will bring distant objects into clear view.
