- PHONES Jack: 3.5mm stereo output for connecting headphones.
- LEVEL Knob: Adjusts the overall output volume to your headphones.
- TONE Knob: Controls the tonal characteristics, from darker to brighter sounds.
- GAIN Knob: Adjusts the amount of distortion or overdrive. Higher settings produce a more aggressive, classic British rock sound.
- AUX Jack: 3.5mm stereo input for connecting an external audio player (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to play along with backing tracks.
- Power Switch: Turns the unit on or off.
- Indicator LED: Illuminates when the unit is powered on.
Setup
- Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment and insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. The unit includes 2 AAA batteries which provide more than 40 hours of continuous play time.
- Connect to Guitar: Plug the GP-1's 1/4-inch jack directly into your electric guitar's output jack.
- Connect Headphones: Plug your headphones into the 3.5mm PHONES jack on the GP-1.
- Connect External Audio (Optional): If you wish to play along with music, connect an audio source (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the 3.5mm AUX jack using an appropriate audio cable.
Operating Instructions
- Power On: Turn on the GP-1 using the Power Switch. The Indicator LED will light up.
- Adjust Volume: Start with the LEVEL knob at a low setting. Play your guitar and slowly increase the LEVEL to a comfortable listening volume through your headphones.
- Adjust Tone: Use the TONE knob to shape your sound. Turn it clockwise for a brighter tone and counter-clockwise for a warmer, darker tone.
- Adjust Gain/Distortion: The GAIN knob controls the amount of overdrive and distortion. Increase the GAIN for a classic British rock sound. Be mindful that higher gain settings can also increase overall volume and introduce more bass, so adjust the LEVEL accordingly.
- Practice with Aux-in: If an external audio source is connected to the AUX jack, its volume will be mixed with your guitar signal. Adjust the volume on your external audio device to balance it with your guitar sound.
- Power Off: When finished, turn off the GP-1 using the Power Switch to conserve battery life.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: When the sound becomes weak or distorted, or the indicator LED dims, it's time to replace the AAA batteries. Ensure the unit is off before replacing.
- Storage: Store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent potential corrosion.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

| No sound from headphones | Unit is off; low batteries; headphones not connected properly; LEVEL knob too low; guitar not connected. | Ensure unit is on; replace batteries; check headphone connection; increase LEVEL knob; ensure guitar is fully plugged in. |
| Sound is distorted or noisy (unwanted) | GAIN knob too high; low batteries; faulty cable/headphones. | Reduce GAIN; replace batteries; try different headphones or cables. |
| Humming or buzzing noise | Interference; high volume/gain settings; ground loop. | Move away from other electronic devices; reduce GAIN/LEVEL; ensure all connections are secure. |
