8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No image/video feed. | Power issue, network connectivity, incorrect IP address. | Check power supply. Verify Ethernet cable connection. Use SADPTool or iVMS-4200 to find the camera's IP address. Ensure firewall settings allow camera traffic. |
| Auto-tracking not working effectively. | Environmental factors (e.g., swaying trees), sensitivity settings, object speed. | Adjust tracking sensitivity in camera settings. Ensure the tracking area is clear of irrelevant moving objects. Consider fixed cameras for specific zones if auto-tracking is inconsistent. |
| Poor image quality at night. | IR obstruction, dirty lens, insufficient IR range for distance. | Clean the lens using the wiper function or a soft cloth. Ensure no objects are blocking the IR illuminators. Verify the object is within the 500ft IR range. |
| Cannot access camera remotely. | Network configuration, P2P service issues, incorrect app settings. | Ensure the camera has internet access. Verify P2P is enabled and correctly configured. Check router firewall and port forwarding settings if not using P2P. Confirm correct app login details. |
| SD card not recording. | Card full, corrupted, incorrect format, recording schedule. | Check SD card status in camera settings. Format the SD card (this will erase data). Ensure recording schedules are active and motion detection is configured if using event-based recording. |
