Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the camera lens and screen. For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning solution can be applied to the cloth (not directly to the lens). Ensure the camera is dry before closing any ports or using the waterproof case.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid exposing the battery to extreme temperatures. Store the camera and battery in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to about 50% capacity.
- Waterproof Case Care: After using the waterproof case in saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and allow it to air dry. Regularly check the rubber seal for any debris or damage to ensure its integrity.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Camera does not power on. | Battery is depleted or not installed correctly. | Charge the battery fully. Ensure the battery is inserted with correct polarity. |
| Camera does not record. | No MicroSD card inserted or card is full/corrupted. | Insert a compatible MicroSD card. Format the card in the camera's settings or replace it if corrupted. |
| Poor audio quality, especially in waterproof case. | Microphone is obstructed by the waterproof case or external noise. | This is expected when using the waterproof case. For better audio, use the camera outside the case or consider an external microphone (if supported by a future model). |
| Camera becomes warm during use. | Normal operation, especially during prolonged recording or high-resolution settings. | This is typical for action cameras. If it becomes excessively hot or shuts down, allow it to cool down before resuming use. |
| Image stabilization not effective. | Limitations of digital image stabilization. | While the camera has stabilization, extreme movements may still result in some blur. Consider using stable mounts. |
