4. Operating

4.1 Extending Lead

To extend the lead, simply press the button located at the top of the pencil, where the eraser is housed. Each press will advance the lead incrementally. Release the button to lock the lead in place.

4.2 Writing Experience

The 0.5mm lead provides fine, precise lines suitable for detailed work and general writing. The comfortable rubberized grip is ergonomically designed to reduce hand fatigue during extended writing sessions, offering a pleasant and controlled experience.

4.3 Erasing

The jumbo eraser at the top of the pencil can be twisted to extend or retract. It is designed to cleanly remove graphite marks without smudging or tearing paper.

5. Maintenance

5.1 General Care

Store your mechanical pencils in a protective case or pencil holder to prevent damage to the lead tip and body. Avoid exposing the pencils to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.

5.2 Refilling Lead and Erasers

Refer to Section 3, "Setup," for detailed instructions on how to refill both the graphite lead and the jumbo erasers. Regular replacement of these components ensures continuous functionality.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Lead Not Advancing

  • Check if the lead chamber is empty. If so, refill with new 0.5mm lead (refer to Section 3.1).
  • Inspect the tip for any jammed or broken lead pieces. Carefully remove any obstructions.

6.2 Lead Breaking Frequently

  • Reduce the amount of pressure applied while writing.
  • Ensure that only 0.5mm lead is used, as incorrect sizes can cause issues.
  • Avoid extending the lead too far out from the tip.

6.3 Eraser Not Extending/Retracting

  • Ensure the eraser is not worn down completely. Replace if necessary (refer to Section 3.2).
  • Check for any debris or obstructions in the eraser mechanism.
