2. Safety Information

4. Setup

4.1 Connecting the Base Unit

  1. Connect the AC adapter to the base unit's power jack.
  2. Plug the AC adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the base unit's telephone line jack.
  4. Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to your telephone wall jack.

4.2 Installing the Handset Battery

  1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the cordless handset.
  2. Insert the rechargeable battery into the compartment, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) alignment.
  3. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

4.3 Charging the Handset

  1. Place the cordless handset onto the base unit.
  2. Ensure the charging indicator on the handset or base unit illuminates, indicating that charging has begun.
  3. Allow the handset to charge for at least 7 hours before initial use to ensure full battery capacity.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Making and Receiving Calls

  • Making a Call: Pick up the handset, dial the number, and press the Talk button.
  • Receiving a Call: When the phone rings, press the Talk button on the handset.
  • Ending a Call: Press the End button or place the handset back on the base unit.

5.2 Volume Adjustment

During a call, use the volume up/down buttons on the side of the handset to adjust the earpiece volume.

5.3 Nuisance Call Prevention Features

The TF-SD15S is equipped with advanced features to help manage unwanted calls:

  • Automatic Recording Notification: When an incoming call is received and the receiver is picked up, a pre-recording warning message is announced to the caller, and call recording automatically begins. This feature can be turned off.
  • "Leave it to me" Answer (まかせ応答): Before answering, a message asks the caller for their name and purpose, allowing you to screen calls.
  • Specific Number Guard (特定番号ガード): Register unwanted numbers to prevent them from ringing. The system will handle these calls with a message and automatically disconnect.
  • Safe Call-Out (あんしん呼び出し): When a specific number is called, the ringtone changes to a dedicated sound, providing reassurance before answering.

5.4 One-Touch Dialing

Both the base unit and the handset are equipped with three large one-touch dial buttons for quick access to frequently called numbers. To use, simply press one of the pre-programmed buttons.

5.5 Call Recording
