4. Setup

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to effectively use your MicroMini microscope:

  1. Prepare the Subject: Place the object you wish to examine on a flat, well-lit surface.
  2. Position the Microscope: Place the clear base of the microscope directly onto the surface of the object. Ensure the object is centered beneath the lens.
  3. Activate LED Illumination: Locate the LED light switch (refer to Image 2). Slide the switch to activate the bright LED light, which will illuminate your subject for clearer viewing.
  4. Adjust Focus: While looking through the eyepiece, slowly rotate the 20x focus knob (refer to Image 2) until the image of your subject appears sharp and clear.
  5. Using the UV Light: To activate the UV light, press the dedicated UV button on the side of the microscope (refer to Image 2 and Image 4). This light is useful for observing fluorescent properties of objects.
  6. Using the Flashlight: The MicroMini also functions as a small LED flashlight. Slide the main light switch to the appropriate position to activate the flashlight feature.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning Lenses: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses to gently wipe the eyepiece and objective lens. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • General Cleaning: Wipe the body of the microscope with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the device in water.
  • Storage: Store the microscope in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.
  • Battery Replacement: If the LED or UV lights dim or stop working, replace the batteries. The MicroMini typically uses button cell batteries (e.g., CR1616). Access the battery compartment by unscrewing the small screw on the side or bottom, depending on the model. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
