5. Maintenance and Storage
The Fischer Repair Mortar can be reused. To store an opened cartridge, ensure the nozzle is tightly sealed to prevent air exposure and drying. Store the product in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The mortar is temperature resistant from -30 °C to +75 °C and is frost-proof in the cartridge down to -15 °C.
5.1 Cleaning
Clean tools and excess fresh mortar immediately with water. Cured mortar may require mechanical removal.
6. Troubleshooting
- Poor Adhesion: Ensure the surface was properly cleaned and free of contaminants. For very porous surfaces, light dampening might improve adhesion.
- Slow Curing: Curing time can be affected by temperature and humidity. Lower temperatures and higher humidity may prolong curing. Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Uneven Finish: Smooth the mortar immediately after application with a suitable tool. Practice on a scrap piece if necessary.
- Mortar Hardened in Cartridge: Ensure the nozzle was properly sealed after previous use. Store in recommended conditions.
