Always read the product label and safety data sheet before use. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and eye protection. Ensure adequate ventilation when working indoors. Keep out of reach of children and pets. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.

3. Setup and Preparation

3.1 Surface Preparation

  1. Ensure the surface is clean, free from loose particles, dust, grease, and other contaminants.
  2. The mortar can be applied to slightly damp surfaces, but excessively wet areas should be dried.
  3. For optimal adhesion, porous surfaces may benefit from light dampening prior to application.

3.2 Product Preparation

  1. The Fischer Repair Mortar is supplied in a cartridge and is ready for immediate use; no premixing is required.
  2. Cut the tip of the cartridge nozzle to the desired bead size.
  3. Insert the cartridge into a standard caulking gun.

  2. Smooth the surface immediately after application using a spatula or appropriate tool for an inconspicuous finish.
  3. Allow sufficient time for curing as per product specifications.

4.2 Specific Applications

5. Maintenance and Storage

The Fischer Repair Mortar can be reused. To store an opened cartridge, ensure the nozzle is tightly sealed to prevent air exposure and drying. Store the product in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The mortar is temperature resistant from -30 °C to +75 °C and is frost-proof in the cartridge down to -15 °C.

5.1 Cleaning

Clean tools and excess fresh mortar immediately with water. Cured mortar may require mechanical removal.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Poor Adhesion: Ensure the surface was properly cleaned and free of contaminants. For very porous surfaces, light dampening might improve adhesion.
  • Slow Curing: Curing time can be affected by temperature and humidity. Lower temperatures and higher humidity may prolong curing. Ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Uneven Finish: Smooth the mortar immediately after application with a suitable tool. Practice on a scrap piece if necessary.
  • Mortar Hardened in Cartridge: Ensure the nozzle was properly sealed after previous use. Store in recommended conditions.
