Setup and Installation

- Mounting Location: Select a suitable surface mounting location. This fixture is designed for wall mounting.
- Secure Mounting: Use appropriate hardware (not included, unless specified) to securely mount the fixture base to the wall surface. Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the fixture.
- Wiring Connections: This fixture is pre-wired with UL listed wire/cable. Connect the fixture's wires to the corresponding household electrical wires (black to black, white to white, ground to ground) using UL-listed wire connectors. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Install Lamp: Carefully insert the provided S13-GU24 13 watt fluorescent lamp into the lamp holder. Ensure it is seated correctly.
- Attach Jar: Secure the polycarbonate jar to the fixture body. Ensure it is tightly sealed, especially for wet location applications.
- Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.

Operating Instructions
The Dabmar Lighting W2256-B fixture operates on a standard 120-volt electrical supply. Once properly installed and powered, the fixture can be controlled via a standard wall switch or a push-button controller connected to the circuit. If an optional photocell is installed, the fixture will automatically turn on at dusk and off at dawn.
- Turning On/Off: Use the connected wall switch or push-button controller to energize or de-energize the fixture.
- Lamp Type: This fixture is designed for one S13-GU24 13 watt fluorescent lamp. Using other lamp types or wattages may damage the fixture or void the warranty.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your fixture.
- Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the polycarbonate material.
- Lamp Replacement: When the lamp reaches the end of its life, disconnect power. Carefully remove the polycarbonate jar and then remove the old S13-GU24 lamp. Insert a new S13-GU24 13 watt fluorescent lamp, ensuring it is securely seated. Reattach the jar.
- Jar Replacement: If the white polycarbonate jar becomes damaged, a replacement (model P-GLB-508) can be purchased separately.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the fixture for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections. Address any issues promptly.
