This filter replaces legacy part number 203-2587.
Setup and Installation
The filter assembly consists of an outer foam filter and an inner pleated filter. These are designed to work together to capture dust and allergens.

- Remove the Dirt Bin: Unplug your vacuum cleaner. Locate and remove the dirt bin from your vacuum.
- Access the Filter: The filter assembly is typically located in the lower part of the dirt bin. Twist the filter counter-clockwise to unlock and lift it out.
- Separate Filters: Gently separate the outer foam filter from the inner pleated filter.
- Install New Filters: Place the new pleated filter into the filter housing, then fit the foam filter over it. Ensure both are seated correctly.
- Reassemble: Insert the assembled filter back into the dirt bin, twisting clockwise to secure it. Reattach the dirt bin to the vacuum cleaner.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Filters
- Separate Filters: Remove the filter assembly from the vacuum and separate the outer foam filter from the inner pleated filter.
- Wash: Both filters are washable. Hand wash them in warm water. A mild detergent may be used if desired.
- Rinse: Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear.
- Dry: Allow both filters to air dry completely before reassembling and replacing them in the vacuum. Ensure they are completely dry to prevent mold or mildew growth.

If reduced suction persists after cleaning or replacing the filter, check for blockages in the hose, brush roll, or dirt bin pathways.
