2. Operation

2.1 Using the Airbrush Cleaning Pot

The cleaning pot is designed to safely collect waste liquid during airbrush cleaning and also serves as a stable holder for your airbrush.

  1. Fill the glass pot with a small amount of appropriate airbrush cleaner or water.
  2. Place your airbrush into the holder on the lid of the cleaning pot.
  3. Spray the remaining paint or cleaning solution from your airbrush into the pot. The filter in the lid will help contain overspray.
  4. For reverse cleaning, place your finger over the airbrush nozzle to block airflow, then activate the airbrush. This will aerate and clean the inside of the airbrush cup.
  5. Repeat the spraying and reverse cleaning process until the airbrush is clean.

2.2 Using the Cleaning Brushes

The 5-piece nylon brush set is ideal for cleaning larger parts of your airbrush, such as paint cups and air caps.

  • Select a brush size appropriate for the component you are cleaning.
  • Use the brushes with airbrush cleaner to scrub away dried paint and residue from the interior and exterior surfaces.

2.3 Using the Cleaning Needles

The 5-piece stainless steel needle set is designed for clearing blockages and cleaning delicate, small areas like the airbrush nozzle.

  • Choose a needle that fits snugly into the nozzle or other small orifices.
  • Gently insert and rotate the needle to dislodge dried paint or debris. Be careful not to force the needle, as this can damage the nozzle.

3. Maintenance

3.1 General Cleaning

Regular cleaning of your airbrush and the cleaning kit components is essential for optimal performance and longevity.

  • After each use, thoroughly clean your airbrush with appropriate cleaning solutions.
  • Clean the glass pot and lid with water and mild soap. Ensure all paint residue is removed.
  • Rinse the cleaning brushes and needles after use and allow them to air dry.

3.2 Filter Replacement

The filters in the cleaning pot lid prevent overspray and should be replaced when they become saturated with paint or debris.

  • Carefully remove the old filter from the lid.
  • Insert a new filter into the designated slot. Two extra filters are included in your kit.

4. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your airbrush cleaning kit, consider the following:

  • Airbrush not cleaning effectively: Ensure you are using the correct cleaning solution for your paint type. Use the appropriate brush or needle size for each component.
  • Nozzle blockage: Use the fine cleaning needles or the repair tool to gently clear any blockages. Avoid excessive force.
  • Cleaning pot overspray: Check if the filter in the lid is properly seated and not overly saturated. Replace the filter if necessary.
  • Difficulty removing/installing nozzle: Use the upgraded airbrush repair tool as demonstrated in the operation section.
