5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Opening the Gate

  1. Locate the latch mechanism at the top of the gate door.
  2. Slide the button on the latch back with one hand.
  3. Lift the gate door slightly to disengage it from the bottom slot.
  4. Swing the gate door open in either direction.

5.2. Closing the Gate

  1. Swing the gate door back into the closed position.
  2. Ensure the bottom tab of the gate door aligns with the slot in the bottom rail.
  3. Push the gate door down firmly until the latch mechanism at the top clicks into place, securing the gate.

5.3. Adjusting Panel Length

The gate panels can be adjusted in length to fit your opening. Locate the screw knob and Velcro cover on the top rail of each adjustable panel. Unscrew the knob, adjust the panel to the desired length, and then tighten the knob to secure it. The Velcro cover can be used to conceal excess fabric.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

Clean the gate using a mild soap and damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the mesh or frame.

6.2. Inspection

Regularly inspect the gate for any signs of damage, wear, or loose components. Ensure all screws and mounting hardware are tight. If any part is damaged or missing, discontinue use immediately and contact customer support for replacement parts.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Gate Not Latching Properly

  • Ensure the gate is installed on a level surface. Uneven surfaces can prevent proper latching.
  • Check that all mounting hardware is securely tightened.
  • Verify that the bottom tab of the gate door is correctly aligned with its slot before pushing down the top latch.

7.2. Gate Feels Wobbly

  • Confirm that the gate is hardware mounted as per instructions. Pressure mounting is not sufficient for stability in all situations.
  • Tighten all connection points between panels and the wall mounts.
  • Ensure the adjustable panels are fully extended and locked into place for the width of your opening.
