1. Product Overview

The LIVARNO LUX Energy-Saving Under-Cabinet Light is designed to provide efficient and versatile illumination for various indoor spaces. This fixture features a rotatable light front for adjustable light direction and an integrated on/off switch for convenient operation. It is suitable for both under-cabinet and wall mounting. The unit is expandable, allowing connection of up to 10 similar lights.

The product includes a T5 13-watt fluorescent tube, a 2-meter power cable, and all necessary mounting hardware for installation. It has been certified by TÜV Süd and carries the GS mark, ensuring tested safety, quality, and consistent production control.

2. Safety Instructions

• Read all instructions carefully before installation and use.
• This product is designed for indoor use only. Do not expose to moisture or outdoor elements.
• Ensure the power supply is disconnected before installation, maintenance, or bulb replacement.
• Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician if you are unsure about electrical wiring.
• Do not exceed the maximum number of connectable units (10 lamps of this type).
• Keep packaging materials away from children to prevent suffocation hazards.
• The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of life, the entire luminaire shall be replaced.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all parts listed in the package contents are present and undamaged.

3.2 Mounting Options

The LIVARNO LUX light can be mounted under cabinets or directly on a wall. Choose a suitable location that provides adequate support for the fixture and allows for proper cable management.

3.3 Installation Steps

1. Prepare the Mounting Surface: Mark the desired mounting points on the under-cabinet surface or wall using the provided mounting hardware as a template. Ensure the surface is clean and dry.
2. Drill Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. Use an appropriate drill bit for your surface material.
3. Secure the Fixture: Attach the light fixture to the surface using the screws and wall plugs provided. Ensure it is securely fastened.
4. Connect Power: Plug the 2-meter power cable into a standard electrical outlet. Ensure the cable is routed safely and not pinched.
5. Install Fluorescent Tube: If not already installed, carefully insert the T5 13-watt fluorescent tube into the fixture. Ensure it is seated correctly.
6. Expandability (Optional): To connect multiple units, use the included connection cable to link additional LIVARNO LUX lights. Do not connect more than 10 units in total.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Turning On/Off

Locate the on/off switch on the housing of the light fixture. Press the switch to turn the light on or off.

4.2 Adjusting Light Direction

The light features a rotatable front. Gently rotate the front panel to direct the light output to your desired area.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Disconnect the power before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Bulb Replacement: The fluorescent tube (T5 13 Watt) is designed for a long lifespan (approx. 6000 hours). If replacement is necessary, ensure the power is disconnected. Carefully remove the old tube and insert a new one of the same type and wattage.
• Disposal: Dispose of old fluorescent tubes and the fixture according to local regulations for electronic waste.

6. Troubleshooting

• Light does not turn on:
  • Check if the power cable is securely plugged into the outlet.
  • Ensure the on/off switch is in the "on" position.
  • Verify that the power outlet is functional by testing it with another device.
  • Check if the fluorescent tube is correctly seated or needs replacement.
• Light flickers:
  • Ensure the fluorescent tube is properly installed.
  • The tube may be nearing the end of its lifespan and require replacement.
• Light is dim:
  • Clean the light fixture and tube to remove any dust or debris.
  • The tube may be aging and its light output decreasing; consider replacement.
