Setup Guide

1. Power Connection

  1. Connect the supplied AC adapter to the DC jack located on the back of the iHome Kineta unit.
  2. Plug the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet.
  3. The unit will power on and the display will illuminate.

2. Initial Time Setting

Upon first power-up, the time display may flash. Refer to the "Operating Instructions" section for detailed steps on setting the current time and date.

3. K-CELL Battery Pack (Optional)

The iHome Kineta includes a removable K-CELL battery pack for portable charging. To charge the K-CELL:

  • Ensure the K-CELL is properly inserted into its designated slot on the unit.
  • When the unit is connected to AC power, the K-CELL will charge automatically.
  • A battery level indicator on the unit will show the charging status.

Operating Instructions

1. Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Press the Bluetooth button on the unit to enter pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator will flash.
  2. On your mobile device (iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Android, Windows, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "iHome Kineta" from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator will glow solid, and you can stream audio wirelessly.
  5. NFC Pairing: For devices with NFC (Near Field Communication), simply tap your NFC-enabled device to the NFC tag area on the iHome Kineta for instant Bluetooth setup.

2. FM Radio Operation

  1. Press the FM button to switch to FM radio mode.
  2. Use the Tune +/- buttons to manually tune to a desired station.
  3. Press and hold the Tune +/- buttons to auto-scan for the next available station.
  4. To save a preset station, press and hold the Preset button, then use the Tune +/- buttons to select a preset number, and press Preset again to confirm.

3. Setting Alarms

  1. Press and hold the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 button to enter alarm setting mode.
  2. Use the Time +/- buttons to set the desired alarm time.
  3. Press the Alarm button again to select the alarm source (Bluetooth audio, FM radio, built-in tones, or buzzer).
  4. Continue pressing the Alarm button to cycle through other alarm settings like alarm volume and daily/weekday/weekend modes.
  5. Press the Alarm button one last time or wait for the display to stop flashing to save settings.
  6. To activate/deactivate an alarm, press the corresponding Alarm button briefly. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.

4. Charging Mobile Devices

  • Connect your mobile device's charging cable (not included) to the USB port on the iHome Kineta unit.
  • Your device will begin charging.
  • The removable K-CELL battery pack can also be used to charge devices when detached from the main unit, provided it is charged.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

  • Always unplug the unit from the power source before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
  • Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or sprays, as these may damage the finish or internal components.
  • Keep the unit away from excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.

K-CELL Battery Care

  • For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the K-CELL frequently.
  • If the unit will not be used for an extended period, fully charge the K-CELL before storage.
  • Do not expose the K-CELL to extreme heat or direct sunlight.
