Setup Guide

1. Speaker Placement

For optimal 5.1 surround sound experience, position your speakers as follows:

  • Center Speaker: Place directly above or below your TV/monitor.
  • Front Left & Right Speakers: Position on either side of your TV/monitor, equidistant from the listening position.
  • Rear Left & Right Speakers: Place behind or to the sides of your main listening area, slightly angled towards the listener.
  • Subwoofer (Main Amplifier Unit): Can be placed anywhere in the room, preferably near a wall or corner for enhanced bass.

2. Connecting the Speakers

Connect each satellite speaker to the corresponding output on the main amplifier unit using the provided audio cables. Ensure correct polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative) for each connection.

3. Connecting to Audio Source

The BFS-910 offers multiple connectivity options:

  • Bluetooth: For wireless connection to Bluetooth-enabled devices (smartphones, tablets, computers).
  • SD/MMC Card Slot: Insert an SD or MMC memory card for direct music playback.
  • HDMI Port: Connect to devices with HDMI audio output.
  • Auxiliary Input: Use the provided audio cables to connect to devices with a 3.5mm or RCA audio output.

Connect the power cord to the main amplifier unit and then to a standard electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Press the Power button on the front panel of the main unit or on the remote control to turn the system on or off.

2. Mode Selection

Press the "Mode" button on the main unit or remote control to cycle through available input modes: Bluetooth, FM Radio, SD/MMC, HDMI, Auxiliary.

3. Bluetooth Operation

  1. Select "Bluetooth" mode. The system will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth indicator.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device, search for "BFS-910" in the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Select "BFS-910" to pair. Once connected, the indicator will stop flashing.
  4. You can now play audio from your device through the speaker system.

4. FM Radio Operation

  1. Select "FM Radio" mode.
  2. Use the "Scan" button on the remote or main unit to automatically scan and save available radio stations.
  3. Use the "Previous" and "Next" buttons to navigate between saved stations.

5. SD/MMC Card Playback

  1. Insert an SD or MMC memory card into the designated slot on the main unit.
  2. Select "SD/MMC" mode. The system will automatically begin playing audio files from the card.
  3. Use the playback controls (Play/Pause, Next, Previous) on the main unit or remote control.

6. Volume Control

Adjust the master volume using the large knob on the main unit or the Volume +/- buttons on the remote control. Individual channel volume adjustments may also be available via the remote.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the speakers and main unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive chemicals.
  • Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings on the main unit are not blocked to prevent overheating.
  • Storage: If storing the system for an extended period, unplug it from the power outlet and store it in a cool, dry place.

Warranty Information

The beFree Sound BFS-910 Bluetooth Speaker System comes with a 90-day limited warranty from the date of purchase.
