Optional Battery Installation:

Operating Instructions
Atomic Time Synchronization (WWVB)
The clock attempts to synchronize with the WWVB atomic time signal. For manual search:
- Hold the - button to start or stop a WWVB signal search.
- The WWVB icon will flash during the search and become solid upon successful connection.
- During the atomic signal search, the LCD backlight and USB charging port will momentarily turn off.
- The alarm clock will automatically search for the signal at UTC 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00. If no reception, it will search every 2 hours until a signal is received. After initial reception, it will only search after midnight.
- If the tower icon does not display, the connection is not established. Relocate the clock towards Fort Collins, CO, and away from interfering electronic devices (at least 5 ft distance recommended). Allow 3-5 nights for the clock to acquire the signal and set the time correctly.
Daylight Saving Time (DST) & Time Zone
Ensure the correct time zone is set on your device. If not set to a North American time zone, it may not adjust for DST. If your clock has a DST OFF feature, ensure it is turned ON (default is ON). Similarly, if it has an ATOMIC OFF, RCC OFF, or WWVB OFF feature, ensure it is turned ON.
| Time Zone | Abbreviation | UTC Offset |
|---|---|---|
| Atlantic | ATL | -4 |
| Eastern | EST | -5 |
| Central | CST | -6 |
| Mountain | MST | -7 |
| Pacific | PST | -8 |
| Alaskan | ALA | -9 |
| Hawaiian | HAW | -10 |
Adjusting Backlight
- With Power Cord: Press the LIGHT HI-LOW-OFF button to cycle through backlight brightness levels.
- Batteries Only: Press the LIGHT HI-LOW-OFF button for a 10-second backlight illumination.
USB Charging Port
The clock includes a USB charging port to conveniently charge your smartphone or other mobile devices. Connect your device's charging cable (not included) to the USB port on the clock.

Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your alarm clock:
- Clean the display and casing with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Do not expose the clock to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
- If using batteries, replace them annually or when the low battery indicator appears to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
Refer to the following common issues and solutions:
- Clock Not Setting Automatically / WWVB Signal Issues:
- Ensure the clock is placed in an area with good reception, ideally facing Fort Collins, Colorado.
- Keep the clock at least 5 feet away from other electronic devices that may cause radio frequency interference.
- The LCD backlight and USB charging port will temporarily turn off during atomic signal reception. This is normal.
- Allow 3-5 nights for the clock to acquire the signal and set the time correctly. If issues persist, contact customer support.
- Display Not Visible / Blank:
- Check if the power cord is securely plugged into both the clock and the outlet.
- If running on batteries only, the backlight is temporary. Press the LIGHT HI-LOW-OFF button for 10 seconds of illumination.
- Ensure batteries are fresh and correctly installed.
- Incorrect Time/Date:
- Verify that the correct time zone is selected in the settings.
- Confirm that the DST (Daylight Saving Time) feature is enabled if applicable.
- Manually initiate a WWVB signal search by holding the - button.
